Not a great product

Sorry Sam's but this is the worst Provolone cheese I have ever had. It's absolutely flavorless (NO smoke flavor). I'm floored by so many positive reviews. It does melt nicely. I used a bunch in an Italian cheese-stuffed meatloaf - so that is one good thing about it - but I will never buy again since our main use for it is sandwiches - and you do want good flavor from your cheese in a sandwich.

When I made sandwiches it smelled the way rancid milk smells. My husband hated it and I didn't like it either. There was no smoked flavor detectable. Instead, it was like the smell of vomit. It was so bad we checked the expiration date. Everything seemed alright so I guess that's just the way this particular provolone tastes & smells. Sadly, we threw more than half of that entire package away.

This is the fourth time i have gotten things from Sams and when i go to open it its covered in mold and its months away from expireing. Im shopping at a multi million dollar corperation not a discount grocery store.. youd think mold wouldnt be a worry!!!

I was opening the package at home when I noticed quite a bit of green mold, obviously slipped by quality control. In their defense this was difficult to see given the color of the package. This is the first time this has happened and we like this product, but I had to warn folks to look carefully before you throw it into your cart.

This cheese tastes like Nothing. I got it because it says Smoker Provolone. Perhaps, I’m so used to Boar’s Head, that I can’t seem to find another Provolone to match. This one melts pretty well, but it has No Smoked Flavor whatsoever! It tastes blandish. Do yourself a favor, and buy the good cheese. This is definitely Not it!

This is all that is available at my Sam's Club. So I purchased it. Very subtle smoke flavor, kind of rubbery and not creamy at all. The large corpoerations are offering their own brands in favor the name brands they used to carry. It's all about the stockholders, not the customers.

No cheese flavor, no smoke flavor. I'm a regular buyer of this cheese. It has been average flavor and quality before but this last pack is obviously a production error. I don't know who's programming the production PLC computers and doing the quality control at the plant on this Provolone product, but one of 2 things happened—this run slipped by quality control or it was dumped on Sam's so they could dump it on us. NO QUALITY CONTROL or THEY SIMPLY DON"T CARE. I'm tempted to return it, but I'll cold smoke it on my electric smoker and add enough smoke flavor so it tastes like SOMETHING. C'MON, have some pride in your products!
