Installed, but not put to the test - yet.

The generator started and ran immediately, looks like a substantial piece of machinery. We did have one short power outage where generator was put to use for a few hours, and it worked well. I overlooked the fact that the 120vac outlets are GFCI because they are solid black (reset/test buttons and face all same color, and my garage is dark), and the outlets were tripped. So, I initially called support reporting that those outlets were dead. Actually, they were OK. Incidentally, when I did call support, they did not think of that. I really wish there was a load meter. I just noticed today that the XP8000E has the load meter, but that model wasn't among those I found available when I shopped.

As advertised

Generator showed up today, packing was exceptional, zero loose parts. either bagged, boxed or wrapped and zip tied securely. Powder coating looked good. Oil was supplied with the unit so that was nice, I didn't have to run out and buy anything else. Added a little bit of gas, after putting the oil in. Scanned through the clear cut directions. Barely pulled the cord and the unit started right up. Overall, I was and believe that I will be satisfied with this purchase.

Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a powerful generator, it packs a lot of punch!! Great features like the electrical outlets, the size is compact and convenient and is actually a bit more quiet then I expected (it's not quiet, but definitely not the loudest I have heard) I think everyone would should have something like this for emergency purposes and recreational use. I would absolutely recommend this to all my friends and family.

Nice generator

I purchased this generator after purchasing and returning 3 Westinghouse generators. 2 generator was defective and the other 1 would not power what I needed. Purchased the generac and am very satisfied with its performance. No issues with this generator. Provides all the power I need for my camping needs.

Perfect Portable to run the house

Three quotes of average 6500.00 to set up a house generator. This was a great choice. although it won't automatically start when power goes out. We can plug this in and power our whole panel, then just be careful on what you use. total cost plus the hiring af electrician 1600.00. Simple box switch. Perfect solution for us.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not sure why but our area is known for frequent power outages. This generator has helped during those times. It was easy to set up and use. Started within the first few pulls. Would definitely purchase again.

GP7500E

Just unpacked my new GP7500E. Easy setup to get running. Powered a few items just to test the generator. Will be easy enough for my wife to use before I can get home. Only disappointment was that there wasn't the extra cord included (twist lock to 3 plugs) but not a deal breaker.

Good bang for your Buck

Just recently purchased a home in Florida, our first hurricane season and Irma made us realize that a generator is a life saver in Florida. We have only owned it for 2 months and it was a big purchase but well worth it. We only used it for 2 days it is on the loud side but it does the job we expected it to. Overall a good purchase so far... time will tell.

Works well; good warranty

I bought this product brand new after our home was impacted by Hurricane Helene. The generator worked great, but the fuel gauge was defective, causing a lot of undue stress and complications. It has since been fixed under warranty, but it was not something I thought I would have to deal with.

So far, so good. We'll see as time passes. Electrician recommended.

One minor part (battery wire terminal boot cover) missing from shipment that did not affect assembly nor operation so far. Will call Generac to get the part. Unit started immediately after assembly with no problem. Putting the feet and wheels on is NOT a one-man job without a jacking device or something to lever the unit. The issue is likely common to all brands. Connecting the battery terminals requires care to avoid shock. It would be better if the terminals were separated lengthwise on the battery, as opposed to both being along a "short" side, as presently configured. Oil fill is a pain, as it is on most small engines today. "Quality" is not only the power, but the long-term reliability. I have no reason to expect the unit will not last for years, but the short warranty period (all brands are the same) gives pause. Ask me again in 5 or 10 years and "average" could become "excellent".
