I really think you did a good job designing this product. The Maintenance will be quite easy based on how it;s designed. I really like that the Oil Filter, & Air Filters are VERY EASY to access. Changing Oil with the attached discharge hose will be Easy & Clean. That being said, I really don't understand what you provide such useless Documentation. The assembly details are so Tiny I had to use a Mangnifier to be able to see them. Additionally the Hardware defined in many locations was not the Hardware required. It's really no n=more expensive to provide GOOD Documentation than it is to provide Poor Documentation. Additionally, I was missing Hardware, and had other Hardware that was not used. The instructions are Vague & unclear for anyone who has not assembled oner of these already. That part really needs to be rewriten!

After going few days without power we decided to start shopping for a generator. I looked at many different types, makes and models. Generac stood out in the reviews I read in terms of function and reliability. I found the information available on the Generac website helpful in determining what type and size generator to purchase. Should I need service there are many authorized service representatives in my area. This too has been a discriminator in choosing Generac over some of the other brands. Assembly instructions were clear and the quick start instructions are an excellent idea. It took no time at all to assemble and start the generator. I choose to buy a portable rather than stand-by so that I can have power to do remote construction projects. I'm happy with my choice so far. I'll follow up later after I've had an opportunity to exercise the unit.

No more worries with bad weather with my Generac gp 6500. When a storm is coming, I just install my generator, fill it up with gas and wait for mother nature to do her worst. My wife and I cuddle up in the sofa next to the fire place and look out to see the lightning show listening to classical music. it's better than fireworks on the holidays. Meanwhile we still have our well pump hooked up, the micro-wave and coffee maker if need be, and, can't forget the computers, tv, phones and lighting available. It's simply wonderful.

Bought a generac 4000exl in 2007 and had a great user experience with it. This unit still runs great and is a generator I will never sell . I decided to buy the gp 3600 for backup ( two daughters have houses now) and was pleased with the build quality. Thanks Generac

I purchased this model for my , home back power supply. It can handle all my needs such as power all my outlets , well pump , T.V. & Satellite . I been with out a gen before for over a week . You should speak to your local electrician about what you plan on powering . I can Run my electric hot water heater , but have to turn other things off if I need to make some hot water. we didn't feel it was necessary go larger , just to make hot water once a day .I highly recommend speaking to electrician before any purchase for all your needs electrical needs if you want a home back generator .

This unit has 120 Volt outlets as well as 1-30 Amp 120/240 Volt twist lock outlet. With the 30 Amp outlet you can run More Power! The electric start and pull start are fantastic. The best of both worlds. Just follow the recommendations from the owners manual and carefully select your electric loads and anyone can have emergency power safely. More Power!

It can run on gasoline, liquid propane, or natural gas. It offers 12500 starting watts of power and 9500 running watts. This generator gives me so much comfort that if something happens, I know we will have power and everything will okay until the power comes back! It can run from 3 fuel sources which makes it convenient for many emergencies or when you need it most. The wattage and power is impressive. We were into a two day power outage and the temperature was in the 20's. Called ahead and paid over the phone - picked Generac because of the name and quality. Drove 70 miles and picked it up and by the time I got home I was too tired to put it together. It got down to 13, but our propane stove kept us warm - put our food outside! Got the generator put together and the power came on! Took a break, added oil and cranked w/o gas to make sure everything was oiled good and it started! Filled with gas and started on the first crank. Plugged in 2 space heaters and the truck engine heater and let it run for an hour and a half to break it in for next time. Plugged in the battery charger and charged for 24 hours to make sure it is ready to go - really like the battery start feature! Great purchase for us - we have been wanting to get one. (Your program won't let me post a 4 X 6 photo.)

Just got generator today, it is replacing an older, smaller one of another brand. Put it together with no problems and it cranked right up and ran smooth. This will be for occasional use as a home backup generator. Looking forward to many years of service from it.

Ran my freezer, fridge, and sump. It was not the generator I wanted. But when water is running in. I bought the last one on the shelf and I could not be happier. Ran for 72 hours straight without a problem. Also turns out I got a screaming deal. 25% off retail.
