Just squish the bag a little with your fingers, tear the top a little, and 2 minutes in the microwave and you have a bag full of rice. Very convenient. Great portion size for a family of 5. The only downsize is that the rice doesn't taste completely normal. It has a slight weird after taste when it's plain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rice is low quality. It didn't have have flavor. The rice was a little dried out and it was not fluffy at all. The rice with stuck together and clumpy. Some rice peices were hard and others chewy.

It was pretty easy to use and heat up however it was a little drier than traditionally made jasmine rice. The taste was about the same and the stickiness was actually better with this uncle Ben rice

When buying Ben’s original microwavable rice pouches, specifically the jasmine rice, make sure you check the little white box on the back of the pouch! It lists an sell by/expiration date, and where the package originated from. Most of the time. I buy this rice every week and have it pretty much every day. Any packages from anywhere other than Canada, have tasted/smelled rancid and disgusting! Packages that have UK, Thailand, or just some numbers with some letters on that white box, are terrible. And I’ve tested this. The only packages that taste right as of recently are the Canada packages. Sometimes the packages that only list an L with some numbers after taste fine, but they’ve been questionable too. Don’t know what is going on with the actual production of the rice or the storage of it but it is toxic. Smells like rancid cooking oil. My local Walmart has packages from the UK on the shelves and they are terrible. I opened one out of six and can’t cook any others because that one was terrible. And the others will be too!!! I’ve left reviews on Amazon, Target, I’ve contacted Ben’s original. It’s not OK that they’re putting product out like that! Stop putting bad rice on the shelves!

It came out maybe just a little chewier than I was expecting but Jasmine rice is often that way. It really made for a great, quick, last minute meal with some chicken that was ready to go in the freezer and fed the whole family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a long time fan of Uncle Ben's products and was thrilled to try their READY RICE Family Size Jasmine Rice! Oh boy was I happy to make dinner so fast! Just took two minutes in the microwave and voila! It tasted like I'd cooked it on the stove. I added in some broccoli, carrots and peppers and served it with chicken for a super fast and healthy meal!
