I was excited to see this at Sam's. I have purchased a similar item at a place with "Joe" in the name and theirs is excellent. Well, this is one of the worst purchases I've made. It is slightly oily, mushy and tastes nothing like jasmine rice. Hard pass for me.

I purchased 10 boxes of this product on line because i haven't been able to purchase it in our local Sam's club- I've opened 3 boxes so far and all of the packs of rice are hard and can't be broken up. They are not fresh at all and cant be prepared to eat. I need to know what i need to do with these. You are supposed to be able to squeeze pouch to break up rice in order for it to cook. However these pouches cant be squeezed, they are either stale or have been in the heat. They are like a brick. So they are useless.

I was given a package of this as a "gift" when I picked up my curbside Internet order. When I opened it I noticed a slightly rancid odor. It did not smell like rice. I microwaved it for 90 seconds. The off scent was still there. I tasted it and noticed a slightly rancid taste, as though the oil they put into this rice was not fresh. I could not eat more than a few bites because of the unpleasant odor. This rice had NO rice smell, just a slightly rancid smell. I have a rice cooker and jasmine rice that I can make from scratch with a minimum of time and work. I would never bother to buy something like this Ready Rice, especially since it had a distinctively unpleasant scent and flavor.

When I got this home I realized it was made with GMO's I will be returning these to the store!

Excellent, quick, and ready for a five ur ten minutes meal.

It was very moist seasoned well and good!

So convenient. Tastes pretty good. No sodium. A winner for us.

Great product for a quick meal. This makes the ease of cooking rice much more achievable for those that struggle to do so. :-)
