Beautiful Gazebo!
We are incredibly satisfied with not only how the Cordova looks on our pool deck, but how sturdy this gazebo it is as well. It took a while to put together, but instructions were straight forward and packed well. We went back and forth about having one built, but decided to go with this one after a suggestion from a friend and we couldn't be more happy! We look forward to many gatherings...
Great quality !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We install our 16x12 Barrington gazebo on a deck next to our seasonal campsite at the beach. The quality of the backyard Barrington impressed us so much that we have plans purchasing a second for our home.
Worth it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this to cover a portion of our back patio and absolutely love it! I would say the directions are relatively easy to follow however multiple pieces of the roof were warped causing me to get the saw out to correct the overhang specifications. Roof assembly is without question a 4 person job - unless you are really trying to risk safety (I build all the time and am good with carpentry). Other than the building concerns the finished product is excelllent, looks excellent
Everything I hoped it would be!
After researching every available gazebo model on the market, we chose this one and couldn’t be happier with our decision. We live in the CA desert where wind gusts in our area can regularly reach up to 75 mph. This model said it could withstand 125 mph winds, which no other product claimed, so I selected this one for that very purpose. Prior to the gazebo’s arrival, we had a contractor pour cement and add steel brackets to the post locations. We opted to pay the additional money to have the gazebo built by the company and we’re so glad we did as it took three men, several hours to do it. They did a wonderful job and were very friendly. Once they finished, our contractor added steel bolts to the posts, securely attaching them to the brackets, thus ensuring they would withstand our crazy, erratic conditions. Our contractor also added string light bulbs and a ceiling fan/light. He then hooked up a waterline to the gazebo and installed a misting system. Finally, he hung interior mosquito netting curtain panels and outer heavy privacy curtains, both of which are tied at the four corners when not in use. We LOVE our new outdoor space! Our friends and family have also marveled at it. We love that the structure is built from beautiful wood beams, rather the aluminum like many of the models we see. We have a day bed couch, two chairs and a coffee table under it, and since it has extra electrical outlets, we regularly bring a lightweight TV outside to watch while snuggled up on the couch. This gazebo has allowed us to enjoy our backyard more fully now. And every time I gaze out to our backyard and see it, it makes me happy. My husband says that makes this the best purchase ever.
Very Good Quality!
I was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY, and if you do you will be very happy with how it goes together very well. I did have a few questions along the way and I called the 800 number any got someone right away and they were very helpful. Very happy with the Gazebo!
Exceptional Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a few months ago and have been very pleased, assembly went a lot faster than expected and the final product is very well built and great addition to our backyard. Would recommend to anyone looking for a gazebo.
Love it

12 X 10 Barrington Gazebo. Loving it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased and assembled our gazebo this past summer and used it many times rain or shine. It was not difficult to assemble. The directions were clear and detailed. We have received many compliments on its appearance from our friends and neighbors. We are very pleased with the price compared to hiring someone to build one from scratch. We highly recommend this kit.
Great purchase!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this in July and love it! My patio has absolutely no shade and this gazebo was a big answer. It was assembled in three days with no problem at all. Everything in the kit was clearly numbered which really made it so easy to assemble. A very sturdy and beautiful addition to my patio! My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner!
Loving this in Ohio...
I bought the Cordova 14x10 about a month back. My skills are electronic...I'm a handyman, but not a skilled carpenter. What was really apparent was this is a USA MADE product and the documentation was, too. It was hands down the best assembly document I've ever seen for any product. Bought it direct from Backyard Discovery...price better than other kits out there and it was perfect for my 14x12 patio (with 2' roof overhang). Some things that stood in my way of completion...1 - a lot of rainy days before I could start...2 - given the time lapse, discovered just a few slightly warped rafter boards along the way...totally useable...missing one upper post bolt and one pair of roof panel brackets for the 14' sections. Now, here's where I'll give HUGE kudos to their support. The first call was for the upper bolt missing. Not a deal breaker for time. I called and I got it two days later. However, closing in on roof panel completion...I needed the missing roof brackets and there was a threat of heavy rain in two days. The standard response would get it to me in 2-3 days. I replied that it would set me back a week due to rain...even willing to pay extra for overnight. Well...the person emailed the warehouse/manufacturing location...I had one in my hands the next day...no extra charge! THAT was service! The impressive part? Everything lined up well (I did need to drill a few offset pilot holes ion the perluns due to a few warped rafter boards...but all is just fine!). Now, at 63, I assembled all of it myself and some help with my sister-in-law (grabbing parts, holding a tape measure and moving roof panels). It took me longer than most due to high humidity an upper 80's to upper 90's heat & heavy humidity. (Not to mention rain delays.) I had a good friend and my son to help hoist the roof panels. You can raise panels with two, but I highly recommend three for the 14' sections. Here's a couple hints: Placing close to your home...keep in mind that you may not be able to push the metal roof lock-in trim from the bottom on the house-side. So...I did the two small 10' panel raises first...then, the 14' section closest to the house. Couple that with the fact that I did not install the roof hip until just before installing the last panel so it wouldn't chance getting battered moving panels into place -and- I installed the house-side metal roof panel joiner from the top-side down because the 'house got in the way being so close to it. After that, we installed the last panel...loosely bolted...then tightened in the order dictated by the manual. One more issue...tightening the roof panels. Well, this brought in the metal roof channels really close where the roof panels meet on the diagonals. So close that the metal joining strips would tend to pop out sliding them up. What to do? Well, they're already bent at an angle along the ridge going up...all I had to do was squeeze them tighter working my way up. It held really well. After completing it...we love it! (Just finished today.) Only question in my mind is the flashing at the bottom of the panels. Instructions say to install the metal panels flush to the bottom. Then, the flashing trim over the top and down. But, won't that be conducive to water rolling along the side of the roof panel lower frame? I'll be installing gutters on this, but that fact has me perplexed a bit. I'll figure it out...or, if someone has their own solution, please respond. Overall, I'll still give this a 5 based on how impressive the instructions were, accuracy of of hole & pilot locations and the beauty of it installed. Installing in the heat was taxing, but well worth the savings...even at my age! ;)
