Gets extremely hot

After taking out of the box and plugging in, the heater put out a fowl odor. This lasted for a few uses. (We have a room air cleaner that helped remove the smell). Isolates well and has a nice responsive remote. Very quiet as though the fan is nonexistent. Very poor ability to heat the air. To feel the heat you basically have to bestanding right in front of the unit (approximately 6" away). No matter what temperature I set it at it always went back to 65 deg F. Even after cranking up the thermostat to 76 deg F, it still would not heat the room. Needless to say it's a waste of money. My recommendation is Do NOT purchase! This unit is going back and I'm looking elsewhere to purchase a tower heater.

fan is weak

HVAC system stopped working and bought a few of these. One for each room in house. What really blew my mind was that only one of these was needed to heat up my living,kitchen,dining area which is roughly 900 sq ft. Not bad at all. Only down fall is that it doesn't have safety feature for fall over shut off. Also if you have little ones the grill gets pretty hot so keep out of reach.

On cold mornings when we're using our woodstove, the heater is perfect to use in my cold bathroom especially for an early morning doctor appointment.
