I have washed and dried with no problems at all. We have been using them for a well now and I have noticed no places that appear to be wearing out or any lose strings that may cause a problem. The set comes with four large pillow cases which I love. My sleep hygiene has significantly improved since discovering these sheets because I don't have to constantly readjust bunched or loose sheets which obviously makes for better sleep quality. The pockets are nice and deep and there is a thick elastic band that firmly holds them in place. They are well constructed and wash up nicely without any shrinkage or pilling. They were very easy to put on the bed because there actually was a tag that says top/bottom, which helps make a bed so easy. Have deep pockets to fit on thick mattress. Love the Egyptian cotton fabric, feels great and gave me a good night sleep.
