Not good when first opened, extremely bitter, astringent. Mellowed slightly after bottle open for a day.

This is a really decent Merlot. We tried one bottle, just to make sure we like it. We have since purchased 4 bottles of this wine as we like the taste very much and the fact that Sam's has it at a very reasonable price.

Very good product for the price. Clean smooth tast.

Harsh tasting. Not smooth at all. I was disappointed.

This is a solid merlot. It is medium bodied, dry with a touch of fruity sweetness on the finish. This is from Columbia Valley, WA like other notable vinters such as H3, Chateau St. Michelle, 14 Hands, etc. and at a VERY good price :D Taste per dollar: 4/5 stars.
