[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have switched from regular oil to synthetic one last year and I will never come back. It saves so much time, money and labor work. I use the Pennzoil oil for both my truck and my wife SUV. I do all the oil change so it's great to experience the big difference this oil can make. The cars run smoothly and nicely. But the most important is it takes less time to change oil for each car. Before I used to change at least every 3 months, now I can wait till 9 months or a year depending how much I drive. Like I said earlier, after using synthetic oil, i will never go back to the the regular one anymore.

The engine performs the same or better in this than with the oil recommended by the manufacturer; the Pennzoil almost makes the engine "purr" softly when idle. From what I've read in studies of different oil manufacturers by independent third parties, Pennzoil is in the top 3-4 overall oils when it comes to engine wear, how clean it keeps the engine, and resistance to breakdown. In other words, it appears to be exceptional value for the quality of the oil.

It's getting a little long in the tooth (it's a 2005 model) and I want to prolong it's life as much as I can since I don't plan on buying another truck for a while. The engine performance has been maintained, running nice and quietly, and I am not losing oil anymore. I have also been able to go to 6 month oil changes instead of 3 month oil changes, which easily offsets the slightly higher price.
