I was very happy with these tires for the first 5 months, smooth and quiet. As soon as our weather turned cold in October the tire compound hardened and they get loud and have a terrible vibration. They got progressively worse through the winter. I rotated on schedule and had the alignment checked and adjusted (if needed) at each rotation. My dealer said he had others experience the same type of issues. I will be replacing these tires with less than a years worth of use. Very disappointing considering the small fortune they cost. I had the Premier LTX prior to this set. They only got 43,000 miles out of the 60,000. I’m 0-2 on Michelin.

I have had 2 sets of Michelin LTX M/S tires, size P215/70R15 on my 2000 GMC Safari RWD van. The first set lasted more than 60,000 miles, and I was so pleased with the ride quality, even wear, traction under all conditions, and handling characteristics that I replaced them with an identical set when the tread wore to about 4/32 and the second set is just as good as the first. The van handles snow, icy roads, and rain with ease, and the vehicle rides smoother than with the original equipment Uniroyal Tiger Paws. These tires can be a little bit noisy on some types of concrete (they sing a little) but this is an uncommon occurrence, and overall they ride smooth, quiet, and secure. I will buy another set without question when the time comes. Neither the Safari or the tires show any signs of wearing out. I strongly recommend these tires for any light truck use, The outlined white letters add a touch of sportiness and set off the polished aluminum wheels nicely.

I purchased four LTX M/S tires approximately 18 months ago. Since then, I have put approximately 15,000 miles on them. To date, the tires have consistently given us a smooth ride and are wearing quite well. Based upon the price I paid for these four tires, I can definitely state that I am receiving a good value for the price I paid.

Two years ago after 32 inch snowfall I was the only one on the road besides the plow trucks. The day before, on my way home from work, the snow was coming down hard and I was headed for a 250 foot elevation hill climb. About halfway up, and around the bend, cars were in the ditch and blocking the road. I had to come to a complete stop on the steep incline. Whew, I didn't slide back down the hill. I put it in four-wheel-drive low expecting some slippage as I started moving again. Surprisingly no slippage whatsoever! I slalomed around the cars and pulled a couple out of the ditch and one up the hill to safety. Without a doubt I would purchase Michelin mud and snow tires again for my four-wheel-drive vehicle.

I travel in winter in northern Michigan and wanted a more aggressive tire than the touring tires that I had been using. These are rated a little lower in comfort and noise but I needed the traction and was willing to sacrifice a little. Now that I have been driving on them most of the winter, they are providing better traction in mud and snow than I expected. Also, I don't notice any increase in noise or decrease in comfort. I would recommend these for everyone.

I have kept only Michelin tires on my vehicles. I have a 2002 GMC 2500HD with 155000 miles. I just put my second set of Michelin tires on the truck. The truck is used for day to day driving and travel, towing a 31' fifth wheel. The tires give great control and are long lasting. Well worth the money!

I have a 1998 GMC Suburban. After I wore out the factory tires at @ 25,000 miles that came on this vehicle when I bought it new. I then decided to get Michelins, from past experience. I have over 180,000 miles on my truck. I am on my second set of Michelins and still going strong. I get a consistent 70,000 to 75,000+ on these tires. You do get what you pay for absolutely. Have 60,000 miles on set of Michelin tires on heavy Diesel pick up and going strong. While pricing out new set was advised that have a good 15,000 left on tread. Has been mostly highway miles but towing RV trailer for half of it. Good handling and traction for highway tread. Fourth set of Michelins and will buy again.....

I really like the tires. My vehicle is a 2006 Buick Rainier 2WD. It came new with Michelin Cross Terrain Tires. I replaced the original itres at 46,000 miles! These tires ride just as good to me as the original Cross Terrains! I love my Michelins. I commute 43 miles one way to work every day! I want a dependable tire!

Purchased a set of Defender LTX M/S tires for our 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited. Could not be happier! Smooth quiet ride, with very good handling. Recently traveled about 1400 miles over varying types of road surfaces and mountain driving. Felt a lot more comfortable coming down the steep and winding mountain roads that we have traveled many times so very familiar with those roads. Nice looking tires as well. Have not tried rain or snow yet so only rating performance based on dry roads.
