These are the best tires ...

These are the best tires at any price point I have tried. They were initially purchased for my personal vehicles and I now order them for our fleet vehicles in the oil field. They have consistently exceeded the estimated mileage life cycle. The majority of the time they are replaced due to age. They are properly maintained and rotated but it does not effect the wear as much as other tires. They are not cheap but with these...you get what you pay for in life.

Best tire I have ever ...

Best tire I have ever owned. I have gotten between 75k and 110k out of every set I've owned. Great grip on dry/wet/snow until about the last 20% of tread left on the tires, then a little slick on wet/snowy roads (but that is expected with any tire). Never had any quality issues with the five sets I've owned. I have used these tires on various 2WD light trucks with no complaints. Worth every penny.

GIVE YOUR OLD TIRE A REST...GET THE BEST

The Michelin LTX/MS is the best tire I have ever put on my 4-runner...if you dont believe me ask another persob who driving on Michelin. I PUT THE DEFENDER ON MY 2001 RAV4 AND IT DRIVES THROUGH THE RAIN LIKE ITS NOT RAINING; AND IT STICKS TO THE GROUND LIKE IT'S NOT SNOWING. MICHELIN IS THE KING OF TH ROAD!

Thr best tires I've had on a vehicle

Chevrolet put these on when two sets of the tires that came on the vehicle when new failed at 7000 miles. Have had them on now for nearly 97,000 miles just ordered another set for my Chevrolet High Country Silverado. Ride is superior to any make of tire I've had, durability is unsurpassed as you can see by the milage and handeling is great, especially on wet roads, don't know if you can get them to hydroplane in wet conditions. They lack a little in snow and ice but preform well if you just slow down like you should do anyway! Had only 1 flat in all the miles driven. Great security for my wife and I! Keep up the good work Michelin!!!

I have never had tires last like these!

I am now on my second set of these tires and will buy them again in another 8 years if I still have my RAV4. I had over 86,000 miles on the first set and only replaced them after the combination of extreme dryness, cold and heat in AZ caused the sidewall to crack. Amazingly, there was still quite a bit of tread left on the tires. Expensive, yes, but definitely worth every penny!

Worth the cost

When I bought my '01 Tahoe in '07 it had 163K miles. It had LTX/MS all the way around but 2 were worn and 2 were only half worn. I replaced the worn ones and just this year replaced them again with around 255K miles on the truck. I have never had a tire last as long and wear as evenly and drive as well as these! I was hesitant to replace these at first, but I am so glad I did. I have bought a lot of tires over the years, but always considered Michelin to be too expensive. If they last as long as they are supposed to, they are well worth it. The other 2 on the truck were replaced about 50K ago and still have plenty of life. I have no doubt that they will also get to that 90K mark with no problem.

I purchased four new LTX M/S tires for our 2003 Honda Pilot in June 2005 to replace the OEM tires after a noisy 48,846 miles. I checked the mileage this morning before writing this review: 158,001 miles, and the tread is still well above the wear bars! Great tires!

pretty disappointed

I have had these tires for about two years now. There is just over 40,000 kilometers on them and I'm not likely to get another 10,000 out of them. To be fair the stock tires were no better but the rating on the defenders was a lot more than 50,000 kilometers.

I took delivery of a new ...

I took delivery of a new 2004 Chev Tahoe 4WD. Before I picked it up I paid the difference to upgrade to a set of Michelin LTX's. This is not my first time on this model of tire and auto. 89,000 miles later I went back for a new set. The ride even as they get some miles on them is great. They always rebalance beautifully. I'll go for Michelins for my ZO6 Corvette when I wear out the original tires it came with.

Best tires made

I have been a Michelin tire user for many years. I have put michelins on two Suburbans, two Chevy Silverados, two Jeeps and a Ford Expedition. The tires wore as advertised and regularly exceeded the mileage noted. That's all I use and will continue to ride on Michelin rubber.
