I purchased the predecessor (Non Defender) LTX M/S tires about 2.5 years ago. Warranty was for 70,000 miles but I only made it to 47,000 miles and was at or below the wear bars. Tires were rotated and balanced every 7500 miles. I did get credit back for the shortfall in mileage and now have the Defender tires on my truck. Hopefully this time they will make it to the 70K. Pretty disappointed in the fact that my first set of Michelin's did so poorly. Truck is just a daily driver not used for work. Tires performed well but 47K is not even close to the warranty.

I have been a Michelin customer for over 25 years. Never had a problem with them. Talked my kids into purchasing Michelin tires and they love them. I am convinced that Michelin tires saved my life last year when I got shoved into the median on thy interstate running over 75 mph and they hugged the grass keeping me from flipping. Thanks for a great tire.

I bought a set of Michelin P245/70 R16 LXT for my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee all wheel drive a few years back now the tires have over 101000 miles on them. I measured the tread today and all tires are still have from .192 to .222 thousants of an inch of tread left. The most I have ever gotten out of previous tires is 65000 miles. Thesr are great tires and I insisted that a car I bought in 2011 had Michelins on it. Thank You Jim

Replaced stock tires on 2008 Z71 with LTX-m/s and they are so quiet and ride so good it is like a new truck. Still checking gas mileage as it may have dropped a little. Also put a set of michelin tires on wifes 2010 Maxima and the ride is like a new car.

Tires are very quiet, wear like iron, and have awesome grip. I see all weather conditions in Illinois and every vehicle I own now has Michelin tires on it. I've had a few other brands over the years, but I'm convinced Michelin makes the best. They are definitely worth the extra money!

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 club cab and still have the original tires on it. I have been rotating them as well as replacing them for winter driving with a more aggressive winter tire. I am truly impressed with the tread wear as it seems I will have many more years to keep these tires for my truck. I have 113,500 miles on my truck with approx. 75,000 on these tires. I am also impressed that there are no signs of weathering or checking in the sidewalls. Great job on the compounds used and or the quality of the rubber.

I have owned a 2005 Jeep Wrangler for the past five years, and I spent the first three years of that ownership living with what has been described in many online articles as the "Death Warble." The Death Warble would occur at almost anytime when the vehicle was making a slight turn and then encountered a sharp bump in the road, when traveling between 55 to 65 MPH. The front end of the vehicle would begin to shake violently, and begin loosing control. The only way to stop the shaking was to instantly slow the vehicle to 40 MPH, or flatten the accelerator to the floor. Neither option was popular with fellow drivers or the law enforcement community. So I repeatedly took the vehicle which had only 21,000 miles at the first occurrence back to the dealer, who suggested an extended warrantee, since I had purchased the vehicle used. I had the tires rotated, balanced, and the car aligned, all to no avail. I simply lived with the problem for another two years, until I just couldn't stand it any longer. Finally, at around 60,000 miles I decided it was time for new tires. I purchased four new Michelin LTX-MS tires after hours of online research for tires with a stiff sidewall, which I suspected might be the cause of my problem. I have now logged 30,000 miles on my new Michelins, and I have never once experienced the Death Warble again! Not only that, but I can now actually drive my Jeep comfortably on long trips due to the improvement in ride quality, and I'm getting better gas milage! What more can I say, except, "Well Done Michelin." You may have saved my live, and you most certainly improved the quality of it.

I've had problems with two sets of these. Both wore out way too quickly. The first set was on my Wife's Toyota Sequoia and the 2nd on my GMC Yukon. I put 12k miles on these and they are down to 5/32nds. I plan to take my pro-rated warranty and buy a different brand once they reach 4/32. I used to swear by these tires and this brand, but not anymore.

I am running a set of LTX M/S 2 now on my 2003 Suburban after having achieved 85,000 miles with a set of LTX M/S tires that were one size larger than the tires that came as orignal equipment. This was to help with trailering a 20 ft travel trailer. Ride was harder with the large size LTX M/S. Now with LTS M/S2 of teh same large size ride is smoother than before. I expect to get well over 100,000 miles with these tires. I will not buy any other auto or light truck tire besides Michelin.

Took my vehicle in to Goodyear service center to diagnose a thumping sound driving at any speed. They determined the tires were cupping at 45,000 miles. These tires have a 70,000 mile warranty. I rotated them every time I had my synthetic oil changed at Walmart, which is more than three months and usually 9000 miles. so basically, the warranty is voided. I never had any problems with Michelin latitudes. Those were awesome- no cupping, no problems. It’s unfortunate that I spent $245 per tire on these defenders and they perform so poorly.
