In August 1994, I purchased a new 1994 Chevrolet C1500 Ext Cab truck with a set on Michelin XW4 tires In June 1997, I replaces orig XW4 w/ Michelin LTX MS / Odom reading of 50,571 In June 2002, I replaced w/ another set of Michelin LTX MS / Odom reading of 136,991 In October 2008, I replaced w/ another set of Michelin LTX MS / Odom reading of 243,813 In September 2012, I replaced w/ another set of Michelin LTX MS2 / Odom reading of 333,160 In December 2016, I replaced w/ a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S / Odom reading of 409,784 I look forward to replacing next set around 500K. I'm a big fan Chevrolet and Michelin .. "Like a Rock"

My first several hundred miles remind me why I like Michelin tires. Smooth, responsive, quiet, sure footing. I drive mostly highway miles but have a mix of primary and secondary roads and the Defenders are a very nice match for both types of surfaces.

Sometimes it takes awhile to realize there are products that paying alittle extra for up front return far greater value AND performance over the long term. Michelin LTX M/S - LTX M/S2 tires examplify that truth. After several sets of supposedly "quality" 6-ply tires for our Suburban used to pull our Airstream trailer and having a tread separate on the last set while towing at 55 mph on a very not day in northern California, we installed Michelin LTX M/S tires and have nothing but good things to say. First the Michelin tires DO NOT LOSS AIR PRESSURE between our trips like the previous "quality" tires did. Second the Michelin tires are more round AND required minimum wheel weights to balance. Thus the ride quality is far superior to the previous "quality" tires. Third even running the same 75 or 80 psi as done previousily with the other "quality" tires in the rears on the Suburban, the stability of the Michelin's is far superior. Bottom line, I have recommended Michelin to all that will listen in our Airstream group and many are making the switch as I did. FYI we recently purchased an Yukon XL to replace the aged Suburban with over 200,000 miles and had the new LTX M/S2's installed. 97,000 km on these tires still have wear enough if summer was coming, extremely quiet on highway, I tow a 10,000 lb fifth wheel all summer, I'm never concerned about my tires. 80lbs of air when I'm towing and releave the tire pressure when not towing for a smoother ride when empty to 50 lbs. Still enough for a short haul.

I have a set on my van, 2500 diesel and 1500. I couldn't be more happy. I had purchased a set of bf all terrains for my 2500 before these and they lasted 25k , the defenders have 65k on them and are still about 70 percent tread left. I will never go back to anything but Michelin, they are by far the best on the market for any make or model of vehicle. Also I run them all year round and find them just as good as snow tires on the trucks, I run x ice xi2 on the van and it is remarkable how good they are. I hope anyone that is trying to decide what to buy. Please spend a little more money and buy Michelins you will not regret it! Thank you Michelin for creating such a great product that I can trust and depend on every day.

My 2015 Escape came equipped with the worst (not Michelin) high performance tires on earth and literally were breaking apart in a short time. I was advised the Defenders were the best and I'm on my 2nd set. I've had Blizzaks on this car, but now that they're worn out, I find the Defenders do the job all seasons in Michigan!

I have driven on a lot of tires and none compare to these on my truck. Rated at 70,000 miles and I got more than that out of first set and am working on 50,000 on the second and last check only half worn. They not only wear well they give me a smooth quiet ride on the highway. I didn't buy my Honda Ridgeline for off reading so these are perfect for my needs. Thanks Michelin for building such a great tire. I will definitely be using these again on my truck!

I have bought the Defender LTX MS tires for 3 separate vehicles that I have owned over the last three years and folks I can tell you, this specific Michelin is nothing short of a nightmare for me and my family. If or when you do find a good set of four, the ride quality is nothing short of phenomenal, but be warned, you might have to go through 12 of these tires to find four that is not defective. The reason why I keep buying this model is the fact that when you do find a good set, they are the most comfortable and with extremely low noise, because as good as the other models of Michelin tires are, most of them are extremely noisy. I have used countless other models of Michelin tires and kind of gave up on them due the high levels of noise, but other than high noise level, they were excellent all round tires. Michelin really need to spend more time in scrutinizing their quality because which ever factory they are using to make this specific model, they are way off the mark. The vibration from the defective ones are so bad that there are times when driving down the highway that I look over at other drivers to see their reaction if they can see my vehicle shaking. Due the vibration issues, I have even been trying to find this exact model tire in the European market, so I could have them ship here to me in the USA, because I was told the Michelin tires that are made in France are of higher quality. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have this in Europe. Michelin should be ashamed to put out this poor quality tire with their name on it.

Have put on about 20,000 mile on these - medium use and mostly highway. wearing down pretty quickly in less than 1 year. not my previous experience with the Defender tires - they lasted 100k+ miles. Michelin - am questioning why I paid a premium for durability based upon previous performance now. Hopefully they will last. Don't appear to handle dirt/gravel roads as well as advertised/expected. I only buy this brand and this model for my p/u and SUVs. Am reconsidering now with my newest experience.

Bought a set of these Oct 2018 for my 2015 Ram 2500 to replace the Firestone OE tires at 25784 miles. DOT codes B71500AX0218,0318,5017,&5017. OK on backroads which is most of use, but very bad vibration at highway speeds 70-80mph. Checked alignment and checked for bent wheel - all ok. Rebalanced a month later at 27552 miles. Same problem. Rebalanced and switched Front to Rear at 28571 miles - problem almost completely cured. Rotated by dealer at 35015 miles - problem back. Rebalanced and switched front to rear at 36693 miles and again problem improved to acceptable level. Dealer rotated again at 40488 miles and problem on Interstates back as bad as ever. Rebalanced and swapped front to rear again and again acceptable at 42991 miles. Put 100k miles on F250 with previous design and never had a problem. Put 260k miles on 4 sets of Michelins on 2006 Toyota Avalon - no problem. Put 100k so far on Michelins on 2015 Avalon and 45k on 2019 Sequoia - again no problem - so it has to be something in at least one of the Defender LTX tires most likely one of the ones currently on rear. Definitely not what I expect from Michelin - Currently 45k miles on truck. Trying to figure out where to go next. Not happy with Defenders.
