Looks good but there is no actual pieces of real shrimp cooked tempura style in it.

It was soooooo goooood! At first. Then I get to the pieces closer to the wasabi that the wasabi is not touching but I tasted wasabi all in the back 2 last 4 sushi. And I thought it was a coincidence but I ordered this same sushi and the same to last 4 had the spice of wasabi which ruined it. I thought we had a good thing. Oh well. What kind of wasabi is that? I don't like wasabi that wasabi is contaminating the air like a bad cold or flu it polluted the air of the sushi eeeeyuckk…. Mouth and nose burning for no reason and the wasabi didn't even touch the sushi

I've tried the sushi here a couple times now and it's okay. At first I was impressed for a grocery department. The flavor is pretty decent overall. The rice has a good sushi rice flavor, not too heavy on the vinegar. Texture-wise the rice has been okay. Usually soft but some were getting on the hard side too unfortunately. The biggest issue is it's just way too much rice, like double what's really necessary. It's a big turn off by the time I had it a second time. All their rolls are like that. The filling is basically like a variation on the California roll despite being shrimp tempura. In fact there wasn't much tempura about it. Just a little piece of basic shrimp in each and these are big rolls/pieces. Overall Sam's really needs some better choices and variety because, again, it's basically just California rolls in that cold case. No salmon or tuna options. No sashimi or nigiri. The roe on top was good! But overall their variety and way they make it could be better. Price-wise, can't complain except that in order to buy again, improvements are needed. Plus, they really need to stamp on there the day and time it was actually made, not just the date and time it's good until.
