Pleasantly Surprised!

I bought a used 2013 Dodge Journey FWD that came with these tires on them, so I do not know how many miles are on them but look almost new. The Journey is rated for 17 MPG City/ 25 MPG Highway, I have checked the city mileage 6-7 times since purchase & am consistently getting 19 MPG (that is doing the math, not onboard computer). This fall we went on a trip and averaged 26.5 MPG traveling 80 MPH. This past week we got our first snow storm (10-14 inches) and the tires did very well for not being dedicated winter tires.

Enhanced the vehicle to better than original performance

The Assurance CS FuelMax tires far outperform the OE tires that came on the vehicle. They're quiet and ride well, yet have great traction in wet and snow. They are really getting a test here in Detroit this winter with all the snow we are having. Even though my Escape is only 2WD, I have the confidence like it was 4WD!

Worst Tires LOUD AND NOISY

Worst Tires I have ever had on this Truck! They are very noisy at highway speeds. Went back to location to get them swapped but they said the truck had a front end problem which is garbage. Had the tech go for ride and he checked the condition of my truck and came back and said the truck is fine they are just noisy. I can barley stand the noise when on the free way.

These tires pick up rocks and sling them like no tomorrow

The side wall on two that I can tell have a indented band I'm not seeing on the other two. Not sure if it's a defective or not but where the valve markers and the stem are you can definitely tell they are off. As for gas mileage... I think it's just how they market the tire. Over priced.

Pleasantly surprised

Have driven large SUVs for many years. Couldn't wait to get out of the Goodyear Wranglers in those vehicles and into Michelins after every new vehicle purchase. Not so with these tires. Very quiet and smooth ride compared to Michelin MS/2s. Comparable dry and wet traction. The first 8500 miles have been a very nice surprise. Don't know about tread wear yet but will update at 40k. Have not driven in winter conditions yet.

Performs as advertised

I bought 4 fuel max tires in Jan. 2016 for my then 13-year old Chevy Avalanche. After 27,000 miles with these tires, I'm getting 19 mpg in combined city/hwy driving. The original EPA mileage estimate for this truck was 14 city/18 hwy, so I certainly can't complain. Handing is just as good or better than the Goodyear Wranglers I previously had on the truck. Yes, the tires "sing" at high speeds, especially when they were new, but it is not annoying, and is virtually unnoticeable at this point. Very pleased overall.

Great, high mileage road tire.

Maintained pressure & alignment. Avoided potholes & curbs. 118K miles and just reaching outer wear bars. Balanced @ installation and once again @ 63K. Now 4yr 8mo old. Can probably drive another 4K before reaching inner wear bars. Will start looking for another set of same ;)

Nice ride!

After having these tires for a couple days, I felt compelled to write a review. If you're looking for a very reasonably priced tire that rides smooth, then go with Assurance CS. Around town and on the interstate you can immediately feel the difference.. Even my 14-year old noticed and commented how much smoother my truck drove. And for the price, you can't beat them!

Poor Tire Performance

I purchased 4 Good Year Assurance Fuel Max tires for my wife's 2012 KIA Optima, I have replaced 3 of the 4 for bubbles on the side wall. Representatives at the Colonial Heights Good Year do not see a problem with that. I am 49 years old and have replaced any tires before these for bulbs in the sidewall. I asked that they pull the other tire off and send it to the factory for evaluation and I buy 4 new tires.

Good ride and noise.

Good ride and skid depth. They are balanced. The on center steering is a little slow for my liking, but it is an SUV. I appreciate the tread pattern for not being overly aggressive for an SUV tire. I will not be going off-road and drive mostly highway, and so the net/gross for this tread is much more suitable to my application.
