Bought these tires for my daughter. She lives in Garrett County Maryland - the snow capital of the world! She report that these tires come very close to a winter tread tire. What she really likes is the "smooth and quiet" ride the tires provide. I've owned this series of tires for years, so I can speak for the longevity of the tire. I normally get 40,000 miles, which compared to other popular brands is tremendous! As my daughter stated, "smooth and quiet" ... I'll add that my van glides down the road better with these tires. Glide = Gas Mileage in my mind.

My previous tires were Goodyear Fortera Triple Tread, so comparisons are to those. These are noisier than the Triple Tread on asphalt roads, but curiously quieter on grooved concrete. The Assurance is not as precise in handling as the Triple Tread. There seems to be more give in the sidewalls, leading to a more mushy feeling. Wet traction seems adequate, as does dry. I never drive in winter conditions, so don't know there. So far I haven't noticed any great increase in gas mileage, so the jury is still out for that aspect.

Overall I'm pleased with these tires. They do seem to pick up stones easily. My truck leans more when cornering but it's not a sports car. Haven't used them in winter yet so I can't say how good they will be. Fuel savings has been hard to tell so far. All in all I can't complain yet, they have been good tires.

I love my new tires! Chosen for premium fuel savings and ability to perform in any weather, I have been pleasantly surprised to find the road noise is very low and the ride is very smooth. For years, I've had Michelin because they came on my cars--never again. I don't think I'll be able to buy a high quality tire at these prices any where else! Thanks, Goodyear!

I purchased these tires from the dealership I deal with on 12/28/15. I've put 3500 miles on them with no visible wear on them. They ride like a dream. I was very iffy on purchasing a all season tire for my truck due to some minor towing that I do. With this reason snow I had amazing traction in a 1.5 feet of snow. And will possibly be purchasing a new set when these wear out.

I don't know if it was that my old tires were old and losing tire pressure constantly but I immediately saw an improvement in gas mileage on these new tires. On the few tanks I've used on these new tires I'm seeing that I'm going about 20 more miles per tank. Road noise is fine -- not noticeably louder or quieter than my old set. They feel great too -- a little on the stiff side but I like that.

These tires have been on my 2012 Toyota Highlander now for 1.5 years. They seem to be wearing well. Haven't noticed the "Fuel Max", my MPG hasn't changed for the better, I am still getting 23 MPG average. The biggest problem I have is the road noise. The factory tires were silent at any speed, and they lasted me 50,000 miles, where these tires I can hear from 45 MPH up! They do handle well in the Minnesota winter, but so do other all-season tires. All-in-all, I believe this is just an average tire at best, at a higher price, with a gimmick attached.

The Assurance Fuel Max is incorrectly named. I put a set on my 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid and my 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. My fuel mileage decreased by about 10% on both cars. They are extrememly noisy. They ride like the snow tires of decades ago. They are supposed to be low rolling resistance, but have the opposite effect. When I coast on level streets or downhill, the car actually slows down. The cars have CVT transmissions, so that is not what is causing the slowdowns. I also have a Toyota Avalon Hybrid that came equipped with Bridgestone tires. The gas engine is twice the size of the Honda's, but I am consistently getting 46mpg on the Toyota, while the Hondas have dropped to 41 mpg, from 47 mpg.

Bought these tire to commute with; mostly highway. So far my mpg has increased by 1 mpg. Most of the driving has been highway in dry conditions. I have driven them in the rain with no issues but they have yet to see snow. However, in all fairness, they were not advertised as providing spectacular performance in these conditions. Overall I am satisfied.

The Assurance CS tires I put on my Honda Pilot AWD are very very quiet and provide a smooth ride on pavement and asphalt surfaces. I have driven in rain and light snow so far and was able to brake smooth and cleanly without sliding or skiding. I love these tires so far after 2 months use!
