Very Nice!!

Bought this for the wife and she loves it. Uses the rain water to water her flowers and makes a nice piece of yard art.

Barrow life

I bought this about 8 years ago for about $49.00. I guess it was made of different material than now. It faces East during the Spring through late Fall. Then I drain the water into bottles I've saved (half gal--bucket sizes) and store the barrow in the shed through the winter. That may have saved its lifetime. I store the water in my garage and use the water through the winter for my indoor plants and to start my seedlings.

Ok for the price, but it can use a few tweaks.

It's decent enough for the price, but I'm not sure how it'll hold up. The plastic used seems like fairly standard ABS type. Hopefully, it's UV resistant enough to hold 65 gallons of water. Also, mine didn't come with hose bib. The description doesn't mention any hose bib, but there's one in the picture. I don't know if I was supposed to get one or not. Bigger concern of mine is that the threading for the hose bib(3/4 size btw) is plastic, and I doubt it can withstand the pressure long term. It really could use another outlet higher up for bucket filling. I thought about tapping one, but I think the wall is too thin. I think they should have used finer screen for the top opening also, and it wasn't sitting flush either. I just replaced the screen to keep mosquitos out. I plugged 2 drain holes on top with screws to make sure I wasn't installing mosquito hatchery. I'm not quite sure about this purchase. The quality isn't bad, and I like the size. On the other hand, I can see it failing in a few seasons, and it does have pretty obvious plastic look. It might be a better idea to invest in a higher quality model.

spigot to low

This rain barrel only has one spigot unlike the others I views that had 2. It is low and hard to get water from unless you get a hose extender or something similar. It is very nice to look at and I love the planter on top. But do NOT put the dirt and plant directly into the planter or it will get washed out. Put play in pot and then set in top of rain barrel.

disapointed, back side drain holes

I just love this water barrell, but SOOO disappointed with drain holes that run out the back of it and onto the house foundation. The plantar on top of the barrell has 2 drain holes on the back side of the barrell (which I never saw in the description) so when it rains and fills up with water, water POURS out those 2 holes along the house /foundation!! Bummer, I tried to plug them with something but didn't work, I have just had to move it more out in the open, away from the house and now use it as an overflow.
