The space under the kitchen island is quite huge. With the single bottom shelf, much of the space would not be utilized. Adding this shelf was very easy, doubled the flat storage, and more efficiently used the space under the island.

I purchased the extra shelf knowing I needed to have the extra storage space and I love it. The shelf is sturdy and gives me the space that I want. It is well made, just like the work center island. I am very happy with my purchase.

The shelf is good unfortunately I'm not able to use it because it is a screw in the table that just will not come out. So the extra shelf that I paid for, I'm not actually able to use because of these screws.

Great product, my wife loves it since she really bakes a lot of cakes. Took both of us to install and only her smaller hands and fingers could get the screws started in the holes, but was really easy after that.

We like it. My suggestion is to add some sound dampening material to the bottom because it's kinda noisy otherwise.

The island is made well, excellent product, purchasing the extra shelf gave me a lot more storage space

The 2nd shelf was a worthwhile purchase, as it expands the storage capabilities, of the island and is a better aesthetic, than a single shelf.

I think the extra shelf is a must! It gives the unit so much more storage. It was easy to add to the install.

sturdy. easy to install. wish there was an option to install it a bit higher but understand why there isn't.
