Tire overall aspect

Great design and well made They are a little softer than most which helps on the bumps.mileage is the same no change and I would definitely know if there was I watch the gas and mileage between gas fills.very quite ride just make sure you have a quality shop install them and check the valve stems for leaks tires are great just make sure your installer is just as great that is wear the problem starts with a bad balance or install otherwise the tires are excellent and do what the are supposed be boasting Firestone makes a great tire ....not a 721 of the past if you recall in the 80s the tires are made very precisely and are great products bravo with all the competition that is going on bravo

New tires on a high mileage car

Noticed how quiet the tires were as soon as I left the store. Wet traction has been excellent. No snow to test them so far although the deep aggressive tread looks like it will be effective. Handling has been great on curvy roads. A bit more body roll than expected on a V-rated tire. Learning to trust the tires.

Excessive wear

These tires were advertised to last 50,000 miles but they wear out really quick. On my first 5000 mile rotation, the technician told me 2 of my tires were down to 7?? I did my alignment then do my rotations regularly. I hardly use the brakes. But that did not help me prolong these easily worn tires...What happens if the tires are done at 30,000? Will firestone compensate me my remainder 40%?

Great tires !!!

This is my first purchase of the Firestone FirehawkAS/V2. I love the way the tires grip the road in the curve of the road. I researched several performance tires for my Stinger GT-Line. These were the best as cost and performance . I don't know how they will do in wet conditions, but I think they will do well. I am pleased with the performance .

In the door/out the door

Though I began on Sunday, August 30, 10 o'clock in the morning, I did not complete my search for tires until until Friday. However received the tires at store Saturday morning out Saturday afternoon. Do I have to drive a few more miles to get to that that station? I get decent treatment even good parentheses. Now let's talk about the tire brand . fire stone is hard to be they have been for years and years. I have a Mercedes Benz and and I love the brand. Good day doll Don . Oh, How do I answer the question of how the tire performs when this is my first time using these type of tires. And of course your computer won't let me out until I complete it. Period... that's why the straight down the middle rating!

Not made for comfort.

I can't review the durability of these because I only have 3000 miles on them. But I will say they are noisy and a rough ride. My car's a sports/luxury sedan and with these tires it drives and sounds like a truck. Handling I'd say is a 3 and traction in the rain is a 4, on a scale of 5. Hopefully the durability out weighs everything else.

As good as my dedicated winter tires!

This is going to be a long review and for good reason. These tires have only been out for a few months so there is hardly any reviews out there, so I'm going to be thorough to help fellow RWD car owners that have been in my boat. I own a Mustang GT that I daily drive year round. Some think that's crazy, but even in Omaha there is only snow on the streets for 7-12 days a winter, so why would I not drive the car I love year round? I used to have a separate set of winter and summer tires, but that is expensive so I researched for a better solution. The claims Firestone make on these new V2 tires seemed to good to be true, but I like Firestone so I took a chance. We just got hit with a snow/ice mix and there is packed snow and ice on the streets and these tires performed AS GOOD as my old winter tires. I stopped on a steep hill and was sweating getting started again (the ultimate test), but I got going fine with no traction control kicking in. I'm seriously blown away. I also drove aggressively on dry streets in 29 degree temps and they performed very well, felt firm and very low noise. I can't speak for summer performance yet, but if you have a RWD car and are looking to handle the winter, these tires are for you. Well done Firestone!

The Most Quiet Tire I've ever bought

I didn't originally want this model of Firestone. I went to my local tire shop with a different Firestone model of tie in mind, but the Salesman said trust him that I would love this AS V2 model. He was NOT kidding! These tires took about 30 dB (decibels) of Cabin noise out of my car. I have to play a book on tape while riding b/c it's so quiet, it might lull me to sleep. My gas mileage is better, too! Went from a 46-48mpg average to 48-51mpg average. My already comfortable car is even nicer due to these tires. Grip. These will handle a corner like nothing I've ever bought in the past. RE: the 1 star review I read before posting this review.... Possibly you had a bad experience b/c your car may have been out of line, or you forgot to rotate them, or possibly it's just the brand of vehicle! Who knows... This is the 2nd set of Firestones I've bought in 5 years for my 2 vehicles and they won't be the last!

Firestone Firehawk AS V2

I had to wait several months before the Firehawk AS V2 for my 2003 Mercury Marauder became available in the manufacturers recommended sizes, 235/50/R18 & 245/55/R18. Just had them installed & went for a nice spirted drive on both curvy & flat roads. I'm impressed so far as these tires handle great in the curves and have very good traction on dead stop launches. I'm anxious to see how they will handle in both wet & snow conditions. I've used Firestone tires for over 50 years & they never have disappointed me, great products, thanks. Regards, Mike C.

Do not buy

Tires are supposed to be a 50k mile tire. They were shot after one year with only 18k miles on them and were rotated every 6k miles. Centers were wore down to nothing and they were not over inflated. Car was aligned when they were put on. Was driven all easy highway miles. Dealer said firestone rep would not do anything about it. Will be the last firestone tire I will buy. I would give them less than 1 if I could.
