The taste of this coffee isn’t bad at all! I love a dark coffee and would have given this more stars if not for the smell. It’s fine once you brew it, but the smell of the dry grounds is disgusting. I won’t buy it again for that reason. The coffee does not smell like that in the cup which is a good thing, because I could not drink it otherwise. Back to Community dark roast for me!

I buy Seattle's Best occasionally, but this flavor has a very unpleasant odor and usually the smell of coffee is something that I enjoy waking up to. I prefer dark roast and bold flavors, but this one is so overpowering that I won't purchase it again. I'm sorry to go against all those good reviews. Could I have gotten a bad batch?

Bought a bag of the dark roast since I ran out of my normal brand of coffee. The aroma does not have that rich complex aroma you want especially from a new bag of coffee. Taste is bitter right off the bat and it has a burnt taste that lingers in the mouth. Some turbinado sugarellowed it out some, but not a good cup of coffee.

I love all coffee. Not picky at all. Will drink anything from Starbucks to the coffee sitting around all day in an office. Weak coffee, strong coffee, plain coffee, flavored coffee, but not Seattle's Best Coffee. Terrible! Smelled burnt as it brewed and tasted burnt too. Then came the all-day stomach woes....from one cup of coffee! No sir. It's going back to Sam's, where I can play coffee roulette and be happy with any other brand but this one.

Love Seattles Best. But dark roast is just to heavy need medium roast
