Cutting Blade Ruins a Good Product

Press’N Seal Cling Plastic Food Wrap does a great job of covering and sealing food, but the overall user experience is frustrating enough that it’s hard to recommend. The biggest issue is the cutting mechanism. Instead of a built-in, sturdy blade, the box comes with a separate plastic strip with jagged edges that’s supposed to stick onto the box. While it works for the first few uses, the adhesive quickly loses its grip. After that, the blade constantly falls off, leaving you trying to reattach it with tape just to tear a sheet. What should be a simple, everyday task turns into a hassle. You end up spending more time fighting with the packaging than actually using the product. For most of the roll, the cutter is unreliable or completely unusable. It’s disappointing because the wrap itself performs well, but the poor design of the cutting system makes the product inconvenient and unnecessarily difficult to use.

What would we do without it?

Great wrap. It is strong and doesn’t tear. It can be pulled apart if sticks together a little. But, will still make a seal from the said stuck area. It adhere’s to any type container — although you do have to make sure the lip of any container is dry. Food products do not spill from the container topped with Press n Seal — if you run your finger around the rim of the container after the film is applied. You can also make your own bag or envelope from Press n Seal, as it seals on itself as well. It can be used to cover (if vented) a dish in the microwave. It can even be used to cover a bandage on an arm or leg — to keep it dry in the shower — do not soak in a bath tub.

One of a kind plastic wrap--THE BEST

No other brand provides the sealed coverage that you get when using Press 'N Seal. You know that your plate, bowl, cup will be air tight when using this product. It's like using a lid. It's perfect for wrapping meat prior to placing in freezer bags for added protection. I use it to protect liquid toiletries when traveling and have never had an issue in the suitcase. The size of the roll that you get at Sam's is huge compared to the size found in grocery stores. You can use less knowing that your food is protected compared to other brands because you can see the "gripping technology" in action. There is no room for air when the wrap is pulled taut, and your item looks as nicely sealed as the day you originally wrapped it.

I think the glad Press N Seal is the best

I love using the Glad Press N Seal product. When using it to cover food, I think it’s sticks best, and last the longest (I’m comparing it to other products like Saran Wrap or Glad’s other products). When I purchased from Sam’s Club, I get a larger amount of the Press N Seal for a lower cost. It really is a bargain.

How did I live without this before?

Great product. Actually does seal when you press. Keeps the product inside fresh & deeps the air & germs out. When you consider that you only have to pull off a little bit more than the container, it's really most cost effective than using the celephane wrap that I usually have to double. Finally, something that does what it says

Sticks!

We became addicted to using this the first time we purchased it. This stuff actually "sticks" and ALWAYS sticks. The cling wrap just isn't reliable all the time and creates too much uncertainty. Glad is reliable and sticks to EVERY surface I've used it on.

Seal that food up for longer shelf life.

Who gives much thought to a food wrap, Saran Wrap, foil, wax paper and such do the job. Then again all those have drawbacks then I came across Glad Press and Seal. It’s easy to work with and seals securely around the object to be sealed. If you need to adjust the wrap it reseals without issue.

good product

We use this this product along with water prof tape to keep my husbands urostomy bag from getting wet when he showers. The press n' seal wrap sticks to his skin and we then add the water prof tape around the edges of the Press'n seal paper. It works great !!! no water gets through the paper. Thank you Glad Press'n seal.

This stuff is the bomb!

We’ve used this Press’n Seal for a few years now and love how it grabs the bowls of leftovers and keeps everything fresh. A surprising use was revealed to us recently after my husband had knee replacement surgery. You have to keep the bandaged knee dry during your shower and the medical professionals recommended to wrap the knee in Press’n Seal. And hey, it works!!
