Great little machine for the $$. I felt it put out too much soap foam after you applied it and then vacuumed it up. I went back and did the carpets twice with clear water. It could have been from prior shampooing. I bought my condo after it was leased before me and the carpets were cleaned before I moved in 2 years ago. The clear nozzle area was hard for me to remove the first time as I do not have strong fingers. Four stars due to my difficulty removing the clear nozzle area.

I have always owned Bissell for steam cleaners and shampoos. Only the little green machine kind though. I was expecting a good job but not as good as a rental. I own 3 cats along with other pets. I also run a Dayhome and have 3 of my own kids. My rugs are walked on all day long. When I used this machine I was really impressed with how easy it was to handle and how long the water tank lasted. I did the stairs and couches with the smaller accessories and the furniture came out nicely as well as the stairs. The floors took not long to dry and it looks cleaner then when I use a rental. A very good buy. I would recommend to anyone☺

Unit delivered quickly, assembling unit was easy, instructions of use were clear. Machine is light weight and has good maneuverability. Overall performed good. Did notice dirty water to fill up quick and need emptied often and that the suction power seemed better when clean water tank is full ...... wonder if the unit is a bit too light and performs better when weight of after is added. My old machine was OLD and overall this works 10X better!!

This carpet shampooer is quite easy to use. I used it the 1st time today and did a deep cleaning on my heavily used areas in my house. It definitely cleaned these areas nicely. My only complaint was that the areas are taking a long time to dry. Next time I won't hold the trigger down to release the liquid as long as the directions tell you to. Other than that like other Bissell products that I own, another winner!!

I bought this about 2 months ago together easy. I did most of my carpets and it did a really good job of cleaning them was very happy. Then I went to use it days later and when I put the clean water tank on it started leaking water out like I had the trigger pulled and I can't get it to stop. since there is no service centers anywhere near me I will have to send it back only problem is I no longer have the box. Didn't think I would have a problem this quick from a Bissell product. Disappointing!!!

I have bought this three times now. The first time I had one, it lasted about 2 years and I broke the tank. So my husband bought me a new one. I gave it to my brother to use and he kept it lol. So I am buying a new one. I will never use a different shampooer unless I upgrade to the newer version. It's the best all around that I have used and I have used probably 10 different kinds of carpet shampooers.

I have had this machine for over three weeks and I am very impressed with this unit. This has replaced a previous Bissell Proheat that has given me years of faithful service. I love how this is lighter yet more powerful than my old cleaner. The best part is how fast the carpets dry! I also have pets and this tackles any accidents with ease. The only downside is it is a little more noisy than my old unit but that I can live with. If your looking for a new carpet cleaner or an upgrade seriously consider this machine.

I normally don't write reviews, but this time I had to. I wish I could add a picture because my words will not do my review justice. We are a family of 7, live in the country, and have 3 german shepherds and a corgi. My old Bissell finally died after 11 years and it was time to buy a new one. I was a little reluctant to buy this model because of the design but at the same time loved the dual tanks opposed to the bladder and the ability to get under furniture. I also needed something lighter weight and easier to maneuver because I have back problems. I got it home, took it out of the box and was able to turn it on in 5 minutes. I have never been so excited over an appliance! It out perfomed my old cleaner in less time! I had resolved to believe my carpet was just too old and worn to get high traffic areas completely clean. I thought the color had faded and changed over time and would never look like it did under furniture where there is no traffic. After using this model my carpet looks brand new again! Even 10 year old stains are gone and better yet it is all 1 color again! I advise using Bissell shampoo. I had some other brand that I used and even though it cleaned ok, it was very sudsy causing the dirty tank to fill too fast. That did not happen with the shampoo that came with the cleaner. The only negative thing I have to say is the tank size could be bigger to reduce trips to the sink. As far as performance, I couldn't be happier!

I find it so easy to operate. Was easy to push. We have a 2-story 4000 sq feet house with 12 areas of carpeting and carpeted flight of stairs. It was completed in 2 days - 1 day for each floor. A total joy to operate. This carpet cleaner replaced another Bissell carpet cleaner we had for about 12 years which was heavier and cumbersome to operate.

I just purchased #1548 and was very excited because it cleaned my carpets like no other machine. In fact the knap of the carpet stood up and they looked like new, considering they are 15 years old. Then I went to do my steps and hooked the attachment up and it started to leak out of the bottom of the machine, like constant dripping leak. My huband double check the connections, I tried it again, then it also wouldn't spray the solution!! HELP !!!!
