[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I used this carpet cleaner I could see the cleaning solution being sucked up nicely. However, after going over the cleaned area, I noticed that the sound changed to a high pitch and I didn't see the dirty solution being sucked up. Tried again and found out that if the dirty water reaches a certain level in the dirty water container, the high pitched sound started again. My engineer husband checked it out and found that the float valve shut off the suction when the container was half filled with dirty water. Emptied the waste water and finished the job perfectly.

This is the first machine I've ever owned. I've always rented carpet cleaners in the past with good results. I love owning my own machine and it works great! I used it to clean one carpet that I tried everything to get the stain out and with a couple of swipes, the stain was gone! I then used it to freshen up my large area rugs and my living room carpet...lookin' good as new! I'm interested in purchasing the tool for the bare floor - I have tile and wood floors throughout the rest of the house. I hope I am as pleased with that purchase. If you're on the fence about buying it...just do it. You won't regret it.

Really is a great machine.It is easy to work with,easy to operate and it does the job. The only comment is that they do not tell you anywhere the real time that it takes to dry when "deep clean" is use.It does take a lot of time, 48 hours at least,the other information the is not provided and is really needed it to do the job,is the amount of product to be use. To clean the edges it is needed to do extra work with the small tools. Overall is a money well spent.

I have yet to be able to have my carpets cleaned the way I expected when I saw this Bissell advertised. I contacted customer service and they sent me a new roller. Although I don't think this is the issue keeping my carpet cleaner from working as advertised, I will try it out and see how it goes. To be continued...

I am quite happy with this machine. It pulled an amazing amount of dirt from our carpets, which are well vacuumed often. It made our carpets look new again. It's easy to use, and the separate tanks are a great idea. It is a bit noisy, but that's because of its power. It could use a longer cord, but that's minor. It drips on the floor a bit when cleaning it after use, but I do it on a tile floor, and wipe the water with a paper towel - again, a minor complaint. I would buy this machine again, and would recommend it to a friend.

I am disabled, with 7 dogs. So I am always cleaning the rugs and floors. This cleaner was much easer to use. Only thing I would change is the cord, it's tough to bend down low to grab it and get it out of the way, and the front, roller area is difficult to do a good cleaning of the unit when done. Unless I have missed something, it's tough to clean the hair from the rollers. If you have a special trick, please let me know.

We used our new Bissell right away. Our carpet had been contaminated with sheet rock dust that persisted in spite of several years of vacuuming. One cleaning with our new Bissell has had the most profound effect on the amount of airborne dust we've had to endure!! Wow, we love our Bissell and the cleaning solutions are amazingly effective!! Thanks Bissell!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product for shampooing carpets, like I'm supposed to. I have 3 large Rottweilers that are pretty messy, so I use this model more than most. It does work amazing when it's working. The belts have broken 3 times in a year, and are fairly expensive. Like 30$ a pop basically. So I've already spent 90$ in belts, along with the solution being 25-40$ a gallon. It basically costs alot to maintain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the first time using machine was like wow this is great but i dumped the dirty water tank 1st time after that all my water ran out onto floor could not fix but as far as doing the job was great .plus trying too clean out dog hair and carpet fuzz was terrible.

Right out-of-the-box the clean water/mix tank leaked on the way over to the unit. There is not nearly enough suction to get the hot water mixture from the carpet. I estimate it only picks up about 40% when used as instructed, and leaves the rest for an all-day dry with the ceiling fans on. The "heatwave" does NOT keep the mixture even warm, it was cold when it came out, even if I used really hot water to mix the solution. It did seem to get up a fair amount of dirt, but the drying time was horrible. I can't imagine how long it would take if you did a hot water rinse after the cleaning to get the residue up. This unit is pretty easy to clean up afterwards. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
