have NEVER been a soap bar person. I avoided it at all costs because of that drying, "sticky", too-clean feeling it leaves behind, as well as my association that all bar soaps have intense, nose-offending fragrances (I'm thinking of Irish Springs). Bath and Body Works shower gel has been my thing for over a decade, and I'm all about wearing fragrances. So why did I buy fragrance-free bar soap? The answer may be TMI: I get chronic yeast infections that cause serious skin irritation around my lady bits. If you didn't want to read that, real talk: they happen, they're common, and men can get them too. Anyway, I never used body wash in that area because I had heard it could wreak havoc on the sensitive skin and microflora balance (which it can!), but then my doctor recommended fragrance-free white bar soap (and ONLY fragrance-free white bar soap) as a safe way to clean the area of irritants. Dove was the first thing that popped into my head as "good" bar soap, so I bought the fragrance-free two-pack. Not only does the soap work wonders for that issue...it doesn't leave behind that bar-soap feeling! The moisturizing element really works, and the lather is rather luxurious. It does have a faint sort of nutty natural soap smell, but that's to be expected, and I actually quite like it. Then I discovered that it's great for washing my sensitive face without over-drying, so I use it on non-makeup days in order to preserve my more expensive face wash. Then I discovered that this soap does a pretty solid job at removing makeup itself! THEN I discovered that it cleans makeup brushes like a dream and leaves them super soft afterwards! Then I discovered that with the moisturizing element and the slippery suds it makes, it's effective as a shaving soap/"cream". Then I realized the fragrance-free aspect is great if I'm planning to wear a perfume that isn't a part of my Bath and Body Works collection and I don't want a clashing body wash fragrance. I thought the two-pack was going to last me forever but the first bar I opened up two weeks ago is about a third gone already. This soap slipped into my life and took over...Can't see myself going without it now.

I really like this soap! It's perfect for sensitive skin, it doesn't dry or irritate. After washing, my skin feels soft, smooth, and just really nice. The scent is light and subtle but stays on the skin for a long time you still feel fresh hours later. It lathers well, rinses off easily, and the packaging is simple and convenient. A great choice for everyday use!

I wish I had read up on the recent reviews before I bought this soap, what a waste of money. It leaves a terrible film on my body and clogs my pores. I've never had body acne, and suddenly I had tons when I used this product just twice. I will never be buying another Dove product again, this is a horrible formulation and awful for those with sensitive skin. If you've had a negative experience, please review so others know not to purchase.

I love the sensitive skin and antibacterial body wash lines. I get tattoos and piercings, and it's really nice to have body soap that I don't have to worry about irritating them. The formula is also really nice, and lathers up well. If you have dry and sensitive skin this is perfect.

This is the only soap I will use on my sensitive skin, both on body and face! It cleanses well and leaves skin soft and moisturized. It also does not cause skin irritation or rash for me. This is a product I will continue to purchase as long as the formula and ingredient list stays the same!

It's soap i personally like bar soap better as you don't have to pay for pump packaging and water that dilutes the soap. the soap lathers up really nice and foamy and leaves my skin feeling smooth. personally i don't like the smell but my boyfriend does.

I am a nurse and mother. I have used this on my newborn babies right up until they start to crawl. Incredibly gentle. We tried once the baby dove stuff- it was good too, but this I felt was better, and “tender” if that makes sense. My husband has used it for himself, I have used it on myself... it’s great. That’s just all there is to it.
