It seems as though the beauty bar soap formula has changed. I recently bought a pack of the beauty bars and I really dislike them. The bar loses its integrity if a drop of water falls on it. I really wish they would go back to the former formula in which the bar maintains its integrity up till the very last small piece.

I have been using dove sensitive skin for 20+ years because it was the only soap that I didn’t have issues with for whole body. The other day, my husband bought a new box and when I was took a shower as I was washing my face I smelled a very strong chemical smell. I quickly rinse my face then I ran the soap under the water, thinking maybe it has something on it, so I tried to rinse it off. I tried to wash my face again, and the strong chemical smell persisted. I told my husband about it, and when he took a shower, he tried to he soap as well and he could smell the same chemical smell. He opened another bar and tried and the the same smell. The next day he went to the store to buy another three pack of soap to see if maybe it was a fluke. But again the strong chemical smell was still strong. This all is very disappointing as I have trusted this brand for over 20 years and now I feel like I am forced to search for a new soap.

What happened? I’ve used this product for years but the newest batch smelled awful. I thought it was a one off but even a second purchase from a different drug store smells rancid. The entire point is it’s fragrance free? I’m too scared to put it anywhere near my body.

I have used Dove Unsented Bars for Sensitive Skin for years because it is the one soap that doesn't have a scent and doesn't make me itch. Looks like those days are over. The new EIGHT PACK I purchased last week has a terrible scent! I will not be able to use any of it. I even had my boyfriend change to this soap at his house! Why was it changed? Please notify me if there is any way I can get a refund. I am so sad about the change. :(

I have been using Dove sensitive skin bar soap for 10 years or more and I have never had issues with this soap until now. I bought an 8-pack of the bar soap per usual and opened one box of the soap and the soap smelled different. It had a chemical smell and did not smell like the bar I had from an older package. The smell was so offensive that I won’t use it again. It also caused my skin to feel itchy. I am really disappointed that I will have to find another brand of soap to use after using this one for so many years. Please bring back the old formula!!!

I have struggled with acne/very oily skin for 20 years and recently my dermatologist suggested trying Dove Sensitive bar soap. I was skeptical as I have never used a bar soap. It has turned by skin around and I love, love, love this product. I am HOOKED! It makes my face feel so soft! This has become my bedtime routine and I will not be without it! Thanks for making such a great product!

This seems to be all that I can use on a regular basis. It keeps my skin clean, without anything that irritates it. Even my husband uses it from time to time because it has no scent, unlike the original Dove. This soap leaves my skin feeling soft with no residue left behind.

My family and I have used Dove Sensitive Skin for decades at the advice of our dermatologist. I have very sensitive skin and one of my children has eczema. But lately all of us had noticed that the lathering capabilities of the soap had lessened and the bar feels a bit different as you lather too. Went online and others are reporting the same AND in some cases finding the new formula irritating! Change back Dove! Until you do I am in search of a soap that mimics your old formula.
