A removable ash drawer makes cleanup easy. This grill includes a full-length heavy-duty cape-style grill cover. 

It's easy to convert to an LP tank or natural gas for quick and easy grilling Monday through Friday and back to charcoal for low and slow on weekends. Choose your fuel with the same great flavor and moisture with the patented Kamado Gas Insert Quickchange™ Compatible (sold separately).

Fuel

Lump Charcoal. Always use 100% natural lump charcoal for the healthiest, best-tasting food and to prolong the life of your Kamado. Never use lighter fluid or briquettes with your Kamado.

What is the size of the grill?

The outer diameter of the grill is 22". Inner diameter is 20" and has a 19.5" diameter cooking grate.

Is the cover included?

Yes! A full --length heavy --duty cape-style cover is included.

Is this convertible to gas?

Yes! With the purchase of the QuickChange Gas Insert. Sold separately.

Happy and impressed

The grill impressed from the first sight, it came in a huge box very thoroughly packed, the lid was already on, but we had to unscrew the lid, because otherwise we couldn't put it on the legs - it's so heavy. I was thinking about asking neighbours to come and help, but when we took off the lid, we could finally lift it (2 women and one men:), and then of course we had to put the inside pen and the lid back on. We already used it several times, and I expected to have a problem with rapid temperature elevation as many people described in their videos, but we never had this problem, the temperature is mostly in the range 200-300 and easy to control. Although perhaps we just didn't put a lot of coils in as we only made small batches. I had to buy a coil basket and just received a smoking stone - haven't tried it yet though, have a hope to make homemade smoked sausages. Overall it takes some learning and practice, but the basic usage is quite simple. And it impresses me even more when I see almost same models for more than a thousand dollars, not sure how better they are, never used one, but sure am very glad with mine:)

Ive had mine for 10 years and never gave been disappointed. Brisket, chicken, pork shoulder, jap poppers...no matter what it always turns out great. .
