Awesome buy! I have been wanting a generator for a while. After Helene came through and we were out of power for 5 days, we saw these at Sam's for a very good price. Easy to start and the benefit of dual fuel is a huge plus!

Awesome deal on a very good generator!

Easy set up out of box. Started right up. Runs fairly quiet. Have not used it under blackout conditions yet. It's fairly heavy. Good price.

Generator Review

The generator did what I expected it would. I ran two refrigerators, a freezer and tv, lighting, internet along with Water heater. This is not the generator to power your whole house at the same time but it worked for me. This one does not come with cord so you will have to buy one.

Pleased with purchase.

Easy set up out of the box. Started on propane with about 5 pulls after filling with oil and hooking up to bottle. Glad I went with the non electric start model to save the $150. Now after initial run it starts first or second pull every time on LP or gasoline. Seems like a solid unit for the money. Curious to see how it handles heavier power loads but seems to do well with the smaller things I’ve powered with it so far.

Dual fuel 5300 Westinghouse

Worked great! This generator helped us get through days of outages from hurricanes Helene and Milton. It worked fantastic right out of the box after some simple assembly. I’m so grateful I purchased this item.

Worked great!

This is a great generator with lots of great features. I love the fact that it is dual fuel. My only complaint is the instructions could be written better and in more detail. It took me just a few minutes to figure everything out. I ran it for an hour with no load when I first got it. Within three days our power went out and I easily ran two small freezers with no problems for three hours until the power came back on. I would highly recommend the generator.

Great Generator

Failed within first 10 hours of use. Something came loose in valves. Repair shop charged $350 to fix and Westinghouse would not cover the labor. Worst part is we spent $600 to have a generator in case we needed it and the first time we got to use it it failed the first day and we were out of electric another three days  then we had to pay another $350 to have it fixed. For $1,000 I could have gotten a better generator. Would not recommend.

Engine failed within the first day of use.

Purchased to provide electricity for our home during the recent hurricanes. Ran for no more than 12 hours and stopped. Can’t return because box was opened! Customer service for Westinghouse is useless. Have to wait 7 - 10 days to have a technician call you back!

Don’t waste your money!

Nice unit, however, followed the instructions and it does not start. Utilized the propane and no fire. Contacted Westinghouse and they too verified I followed the instructions. Still waiting on a decision as I requested a new unit from them. In theory, really cannot give a solid review then what I provided.
