After that, they've been quick-frozen to maintain peak freshness. I have purchased these wild caught scallops several times. My experience with scallops from other sources has shown that these are the best frozen scallops available. I am not sure if being “land locked” makes a difference. BUT these are well worth the cost. (Just don’t over cook!)
