I bought this Pumpkin Crumb Cake with high expectations for my husband's birthday party. It was good, but not super amazing as I had hoped. I think it needed more pumpkin and less crumbing on the top. It kinda fell apart and didn't cut well either. Overall the taste was good, it had a good moist cake part and the top crumbles made you want to get all the little bits that fell off and eat them.

it looks beautiful over at Sam's when I bought it. I put it in the freezer thinking it was a pie because it was in that type of round dish for holiday serving size. I was very surprised when I found out it was A cake. No cake without the top would be perfect. Maybe powdered sugar sprinkled over a old-fashioned to give it a design and then that's it.

Is the crumbl top necessary for the spicy cake?

I bought this and it looked delicious, but trying it the next morning for breakfast i found out looks are deceiving . it was dry and hardly any pumpkin flavor at all. The topping was thick and very hard to cut thru. me and my wife tried it and neither liked it. she took it to work to get rid of it

Pumpkin Crumb Cake

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. The product looked delicious but was just ok.  When slicing it the crumble topping separated from the cake. The crumb topping was dry and very thick. The cake itself was good but not much pumpkin flavor. I checked the date thinking it may have sat for a few days, but it was made the day before I purchased/ate it. I probably wouldn't purchase this cake again.

It looked good. It tasted good, in parts. I say that because the crumb does not stay on top as you try to cut it and take bites. The crumb topping just keeps falling off and not really able to eat it together.

Good & Bad!

I bought this because it was on sale. The first pieces we ate were not that good. I thought about it and I Microwaved the next pieces on for 25 seconds and it was much better. I thought the crumbs were to big and heavy for the cake. Needed more cake and less crumbs.

Can take it or leave it

I bought this pie/cake at Thanksgiving. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I can honestly say it was unexpected. The top was delicious and crunchy. The cake was a spicy treat. It received mixed reviews at our home (20+ guests). I thought it would be good heated up and add melted butter. Maybe serve at breakfast.

Crunchy, spicy, sweet cake

It looks amazing and smells so good. However, it was extremely dry and didn't really have a pumpkin taste. My personal opinion it was not good and will not purchase again.

Pumpkin crumb cake

I really expected to like this because I love Sam's pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake and most bakery items. This was drier than I expected and just didn't live up to my expectations. I'm glad I got it on sale for 7.98 because I can't imagine paying more than that. I am not a person who wastes food ever but I threw away more than half because I just couldn't get my family to eat it.

Dry/disappointing

Literally the worse pie I've ever had in my entire life. Didn't even finish one slice and throw the pie in the trash. No wonder they had them on sale.
