Great vacuum!!!

Great vacuum!!! I have been using my old corded Hoover upright for years and decided I need to upgrade. I love my Dyson V8. It is amazing! It is so light and has great suction and holds the charge for me to do my entire 2 bedroom apartment. Emptying the bin is a snap. It charges up very quickly. Thanks Dyson, for making a fantastic vacuum!!!

Exceeded Expectations

We needed a new vacuum badly and had heard good things about the Dyson, we were still blown away our first time using it. It sucked up an astonishing amount from our rugs, it made a very visible difference. Easy to maneuver, pretty lightweight, seems to have a good battery life, no complaints.

Awesome but NOT for hardwood

Works great for carpet and linoleum. Not for hardwood floors. The wheels make a terrible sound on hardwood and it seems the hard bristles will scratch the floor. They make a soft bristle head you have to buy separately for hardwood floors and it's not a cheap part. Suction is great. It's very lightweight. Dock is easy to use. Emptying is so easy. Just pull up on the top and the bottom falls out. Unit doesn't stand upright on it's own though because all the weight is in the handle. Comes with a floor head, a wand and a crevice tool. Has 3 suction modes. I use it on the lowest setting and have no problems with suction. I do wish it saved my setting though because it powers on at medium always. The head swivels so it's very maneuverable. I have a clunky upright and this seems to work just as well.

Thank you for your feedback. We are thrilled you love the strong suction, lightweight design, and easy-empty bin. We apologize that the standard floor head is too harsh for your hardwood floors and that the specialized soft roller is sold separately. Your notes on the wheel noise, bristles, and default power settings have been shared directly with our product team to help us improve future models.
