Product details

Use the battery finder for help selecting the battery you need

Whether you need a battery for a personnel carrier, aerial lift, electric vehicle, golf car, boat, RV, floor scrubber, road sign, or any other application that requires deep-cycle power, this is the battery of choice. The biggest innovations lie inside the battery where we use heavier grids, plates with higher density oxide and improved glass mat envelope separators.

This results in longer life cycles and superior cycle life performance. Engineers have designed this battery to be durable and user-friendly. The heavy gauge polypropylene cases have been specially built to take a pounding without damaging the cells. Twist-and-release vent caps make removing caps a snap and the new lifting system maximizes convenience.

Well Worth the Money

I installed 4 of these in a 5th wheel about three years ago. WORK GREAT. Boon-docking and generator starting and have never missed a beat. There is some poor to bad information on this page about batteries. Research on Youtube from only people that sell campers so that you get it correctly. DO NOT go off of someones opinion. ( if you research my info, you will find it to be true) Also NEVER replace only one battery in a group of a series or parallel configuration as your power will ONLY be as high as the weakest battery. REPLACE THEM ALL and they will serve better and last longer. Also when you install a group, either in parallel or series, ALWAYS buy batteries with the same manufacturing date. It matters especially for longevity. I have NEVER known the folks at Sam’s to not be of help. They want to keep there jobs and they do have managers. I also have the Duracell batteries in three of our cars. GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT. The 5th Wheel came with 2 12V (volts) batteries of which I gave to my daughter and replaced them with 4 Duracell 6V DEEP CYCLE batteries in a Parallel, Series configuration. If your battery has a CCA, Cold Cranking Amps, reading, it is NOT a TRUE deep cycle battery. You want low power draw over a period of time. Not HIGH power on a short burst. Two 12v batteries in Parallel @ 120A (amps) each = 240A, Two 6V batteries in series @ 230A each = 460A giving you much more usable power. If you have the room, with FOUR 6V's in Series and Parallel, you double it. I am also a big proponent of solar on an RV. If you can afford it, go with a MPPT charge controller as it gives a higher percentage, approx. 15%, of power, especially in low sunlight. Even on a hundred watt panel in low sunlight you will be trickling your batteries. HAPPY CAMPING!

6 V Golf Cart batteries EGC2

I used 4 EGC2 six volt batteries from Sam’s Club as house bank on my sailboat. Never a problem. The charging was done by Solar panels, shore power and alternator. I am doing a preventive replacement now, after 5 years of product use as a live aboard. I replace the EGC2 with four 6V AGM GC2, also from Sam’s Club. The 5 year old batteries are all still working!

Why all the negativity?

I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews. I have 2 of the EGC2 used in series for my off grid travel trailer. These are charged and mainteined by a Renogy MPT charge controller. Going on year three with no complaints, no issues. I really belive battery system performance id directly related to maintaing and optomizing your system properly. Good clean connections, proper wire sizing, never over-discharging and keeping an eye on heat and water levels. I'm going to buy more to expand my reserve capacity.
