I have been wanting a Vitamix for about 10 years but never felt I could justify the price. Well, I finally broke down and bought one (the A2500), and I can very happily say I have no buyer's remorse! I'm thrilled with it so far and have only just begun to explore its capabilities. Just making my own homemade butter from fresh cream in 1 minute is still blowing my mind! 

I haven't had it long enough to say anything of value regarding reliability, etc., but my sister has had one for 10 years (hence my longing for one), and it is still going as strong as the day she bought it.

So far we have been very happy with our Vitamix purchase.  We have mainly used it for smoothies, but it really blends everything together so well, and clean-up is really easy.  I had been resisting buying a Vitamix for a long time because they are quite pricey.  Prior to getting our Vitamix, we had been using some of the bullet type blenders to make smoothies, but they didn't last, and often had problems.  It seemed that we were replacing those bullet blenders rather frequently. I finally had enough of going through cheaper blenders and decided to purchase a Vitamix. When we selected our Vitamix, we chose one with a 10 year warranty.  I figured that I'd spend about the same amount as the Vitamix going through bullet type blenders over the next 10 years, so it made the expense of the Vitamix a bit easier to take.  So far, I have no regrets about making this investment.  I'm hoping that it will be more than 10 years before I have to buy a new blender.
     If I have one criticism about the blender so far, it would be that the fluid ounce markings and corresponding lines on the blender are very hard to read/see.  It makes measuring ingredients directly in the blender a little bit difficult, and I have to use a separate measuring cup to make sure I'm getting the correct amount of an ingredient.

So far, so good!

I think that I have used this everyday since I was lucky enough to receive as a gift.  It was a splurge that I was saving for so even more wonderful that I got for Christmas.  So far I love it!  It is a must kitchen item and has made  cooking paleo/vegan recipes so much easier.

We needed to upgrade our blender from an old hand-me-down and was also looking for a food processor when Vitamix said they could do both. After a lot of research we decided to get this model with the additional food processor accessory, and couldn't be happier.

Just what we needed.

We have had ours for a month and I have probably used it every day. I tell my husband every day how happy I am with this purchase. It IS 100% worth the hype and money. I’ve had several other blenders all claiming to be great. They’re not. This is. Love love love it

Every day

It works very well.  Although, my husband decided to grind coffee beans in ours and now the canister is scratched; it's still brand new and I feel like it's already "ruined". I wish we had gone with a different series as now we feel we would have liked the touch-screen controls better but, without being able to see them in person, it's a guessing game.  All-in-all, it does a nice job and we love the easy clean-up.

I have not used all the features yet and am excited to use it for soups and frozen deserts soon.  I have used it extensively to make healthy smoothies and am so pleased with the consistency of my drinks.  It blasts it's way through kale and every kind of fruit or vegetable I give it.  I do have a hard time with getting the cover off because it clips on which is new for me, but overall would give it a strong 4.5 stars.

Versatile and Powerful

This thing is a BEAST but worth the hype! It’s extremely loud but I can deal with loud no problem....I will say that the NutriBullet does just as well so if you’re trying to conserve on costs just go with the cheaper NutriBullet I still have mine and will use it when needed. It’s lasted years...

It’s worth the hype

I bought my Vitamix 2 months ago. So far it works, but I'm not that impressed in relation to the price. You pay alot for these blenders and they can be frigidity especially if you buy the blender cups. Overall it works fine. Not too sure its worth the price. Good quality though.

Its Ok

This blender has been a disappointment. It's powerful, that's for sure, but the smaller attachments (nut butter container and smoothie container) are borderline impossible to get situated properly so that the machine will turn on. 

The "smart" features are not helpful at all and I find it incredibly difficult to screw the special base on with my admittedly small hands, and adjusting them to align properly is so difficult that I find I never use them. Even the big container is a hassle, though, because the lip doesn't clip on cleanly and the container doesn't lock on so you can accidentally knock it off the base while the machine is running. 

If I had it to do over, I'd certainly not get the Ascent series. It's been such a disappointment.

Ascent features cause problems

Horribly disappointed! I don't know if we just got a lemon or if this is what everyone experiences with their machines but I had such high hopes. Blending is a nightmare. It always smells like something is burning. If iStart on low speed and try to increase it - no matter what it gets stuck around 4-6. Just stops. I use the tamper but something just doesn't seem right and we truly are not enjoying it at all.
