About this item

Product details

Now even the heaviest packages can withstand rough handling. Our Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape holds strong on all box types, including 100% recycled boxes. It's even guaranteed to stay sealed.* The strong, tough, solvent free hot melt adhesive locks in your heavy duty contents and locks out everything else. You don’t need layers of tape to get the job done—just one strip at a time—so you save time. Your heavy packages can bear the weight and stay sealed through it all with Scotch Heavy Duty packaging tape.

No matter how strong the tape, an improper packing job can put your items in jeopardy. These tips will help protect against accidents and indelicate handling.

Packing Tips:

  • If you're shipping liquids, make sure to seal jar or bottle lids with Scotch Packaging Tape. Additionally, placing the containers in a plastic bag adds an extra layer of protection, containing any potential spills or leaks that may occur during transit.
  • For especially fragile items, consider cushioning them by placing a smaller box inside a larger one. This provides an additional barrier against impact and helps safeguard your delicate items.
  • When packing, position fragile items in the middle of the box and leave at least 2 inches of padding around and between each item. For added protection, consider using Scotch Cushion Wrap to cushion and absorb shocks during transport.
  • If you're shipping paper or cloth items, it's essential to wrap them with plastic to guard against spills and wet shipping conditions. By taking this simple step, you can ensure your valuable documents or delicate fabrics arrive in pristine condition.

Invest in the reliability and strength of Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape. Don't let rough handling put your items at risk - trust Scotch to secure your packages and deliver peace of mind.

Love this tape it’s very sturdy and Works excellently. Unfortunately, I broke the dispenser on my other one and when I bought this previously a year or two ago, it came with a dispenser as well, but overall the tape itself is very good quality. You can use it to pack heavy packages and I’m always using it to send and return packages through UPS and FedEx and it always works great.!

Best quality packing tape

Scotch out performs all other brands for packing tape. It's at a higher price point, but it's expected because of the quality. It adheres extremely well to cardboard packing boxes, it's strong and does not peel up at the ends - it just stays put. It dispenses well in both the metal tape dispenser or the reusable little plastic one. It peels cleanly when you get it stuck back on the roll - it doesn't shred and split, just peels back without getting those long strips of winding tape trying to peel it loose.

Perfect for moving boxes

I was moving and taping together cardboard boxes, The general shipping tape is too weak for holding together a medium side box. This Scotch heavy duty tape is thicker and worked perfectly to hold together my boxes, so much so it took a little effort to remove the tape from carboard boxes.
