Basmati rice this brand is always the best. The only thing I don't like about having it sent to my home is when they put it on the hood of your car instead of bringing it to your front door as you're supposed to Walmartneeds to consider who they used to be their mail service

One of staple foods I keep on hand always. I've purchased this brand in the past and found it to cook well, good taste, and each grain separates when cooked.  It is not mushy or sticky.

Basmati Rice

we eat rice many times a week and basmati is what we can get here in N.America that we like. I am glad this came back into stock. It does not reheat well but then it is not the same kind as the short grains or medium grain rices.  It is always clean and tasty.

A good taste of the old country

Ive purchased this on a few occasions and am very satisfied with this rice.  My wife grew up in India and I sort of did too so our expectations of basmati is a bit higher than most.  These skinny long grains go perfect with chicken curry, biryani, beef and broccoli, even teriyaki if you dont have the traditional rice.  Its a staple in our house and the value is as good as buying in Patel Brothers or any Indian grocery store.  Bought two and got free shipping for that much weight in transit is usually very expensive.  This is a no brainer for us.  Come to think, might buy two more now to stock for winter in case COVID gets worse and there may be shortages.

I love this rice and Sam's has the best price. Its fluffy and has some nice fragrance to it. Now Sam's, please bring back my favorite rice, Royal's Sona Masoori.

Second Best Rice I'd Tested

What happened to Royal Basmati?! This is medium grain twice I cook it the same as I have for several years and now it's mushy and sticky and is not long grain at all it's medium grain. This is so disappointing! Where can I find real basmati rice? I used to  Absolutely LOVE this rice the aroma and the length and how grain it was and now it cooks like stick rice

sold us fake basmati. Size of the rice grain, taste, cooking time related parameters are all matching regular sona masuri regular grain.

overall, this is being badges wringly as basmati. if you are looking to buy real basmati rice, please stay away from this seller/brand/store.

Fake Basmati rice - don't buy

I love this basmati rice. I've ordered before and had no problem until this last order. This rice has a wonderful aroma even before cooking and this last bag had the safety tie already cut and the plastic bag inside the burlap bag had already been open.  
So I'm left to wonder who's had their dirty hands in my rice or if someone done something to the rice or if I received basmati royal rice at all, if some otger rice wasn'tput in this bag. Because the only smell it had was of burlap, chemical, no basmati smell at all.  So did walmart send me a returned bag of rice? This is unacceptable and the rice will be returned. 
This is really great rice if you can get it unopened and the right rice so you don't have to worry if it's been tampered with.

OPENED BAG OF STINKY RICE OF SOME KIND

I opened the bag of rice a week after its purchase to find green and black clumps of rice inside. The clumps were sticky, and the color was quite unnatural. I don't think it's mold, although it certainly looks like it.

I've never had issues buying this particular brand of rice before; in fact, it's one of my favorites. However, Walmart did provide me with a refund for the item.

This guy took the money from me for 2, 20 pounds of rice. He made the label and everything and the day of my delivery he cancels on me he is doing black marketing and I would not prefer him at all he is charging $53 for 1 bag while I had paid $35.9 for two bags. BE AWARE
