When I first tried a bottle of Xtra Sour Powerade I had a distaste for it. I drank a room temperature bottle and though "this just makes me fell still thirsty because of the sour". Fortunately, I bought a case and tried it a second time (this time chilled) with far better result. When you drink these cold they are absolutely amazing. The sour cherry is now one of my all-time favorite drink flavors. The grape and peach are also very good. I hope they are sold at Sam's for a long while.

Winner if served cold

These are great when almost frozen.  Especially, on a hot summer day.  I love that they do not have a bitter after taste.

It’s pretty good on calories to serving size ratio so I’m not complaining! There is minimum carbonation which is a plus as I hate fizzy drinks. Definitely recommend

It’s not too sour it’s perfect

The taste is really like eating sour candy but in reality, you're also getting electrolytes and energy! I'm very happy with this because it's always super difficult to get my husband to drink his electrolytes but because this specific brand and loin tasted like candy, he was super happy to have it because it was sweet and sour at the same time and I was super happy that he was actually getting the energy and electrolytes that he needs to get through his work day! 

The packaging design is really great and the bottle is easy to open with no struggle. The flavor variety is really great. They come in three flavors, sour grape, sour cherry and sour orange. I'm really happy with how this product turned out for us and I will definitely continue to buy this for my husband.

Each bottle is super refreshing, packed with flavor, and gives me that perfect boost when I need it — especially during hot days or after a long walk.

I love that they’re 20oz so I don’t run out too fast, and the sour twist makes them way more fun than your typical sports drink. Plus, it keeps me hydrated without feeling too sugary. Definitely a must-have in my fridge — I’ll be repurchasing again and again!

Obsessed is an understatement!

They taste like the originals with a slight sour/tart kick to it. I wouldn’t say they are “Xtra Sour” but just enough to give you that kick but they do taste very good! Honestly, I am glad they weren’t super sour because then the drink would be overwhelming and not enjoyable to drink but not this one - it is actually very pleasant and refreshing! Glad I was able to try these out, I do see myself purchasing more in the future!

The original with a little twist!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were super tasty! You can taste a little bit of the sour but it is not overwhelming where you can’t drink it. They were very hydrating with great flavor. All the flavors in the pack were good but grape was my favorite. The peach and cherry were definitely on the sweeter side. Almost like a melted popsicle.

Perfect for a hot day when you need electrolytes !

I’m a big fan of sour things, and these had that kick. My favorite flavor was probably the peach, it was sweet and sour. The cherry tastes like a fruit roll up. Then the grape was very hit or miss for me. It took a bit of time to acquire a taste for the grape one, and it’s the one I’ve reached for the least. Overall, these were tasty, but I’m not sure I would buy a whole 24 pack as opposed to just a bottle when I’m in the mood for something sour.

Not the best ingredients, which I obviously don’t expect from a product like this. I think it’s pretty effective as far as hydration. It tastes okay but nothing over the moon, I don’t really taste too much sour, which isn’t bad, it’s just not necessarily I would think of something labeled sour as. The packaging is good, it fits easily in water bottle slots on backpacks and those type of things.

The taste was overly artificial and sour in a way that wasn’t refreshing, making it hard to finish a bottle. While it does provide some hydration, the effectiveness doesn’t feel much different than just drinking water or a cleaner sports drink. The ingredients are the biggest letdown; loaded with artificial flavors, harmful dyes, and other unnecessary additives, it doesn’t feel like the best choice for anyone trying to fuel their body in a healthier way. The packaging is convenient for bulk, but the bright, flashy look feels more like style over substance. For the value, it’s affordable for the quantity, but the quality just doesn’t live up to what I’d want in a sports drink. Overall, not something I’d repurchase.
