About this item

Product details

Nature Made Magnesium Citrate 250 mg per serving is a magnesium supplement for men and women that helps support muscle relaxation, nerve health, and heart health. This 250mg Magnesium Citrate supplement also supports bone health. Sourced from high-quality ingredients, this Magnesium supplement is gluten free and contains no synthetic dyes and no artificial flavors. These Nature Made Magnesium 250 mg per serving dietary supplements absorb better due to their Magnesium Citrate form, and help relax the body with each Magnesium softgel (1). Nature Made Magnesium supplements offer a Magnesium Citrate 250mg choice for people who do not consume enough Magnesium in their diet, which is over half of the U.S. population (2).

What is Magnesium?

Magnesium is a mineral that assists in more than 300 metabolic reactions in the body—from supporting nerve function to regulating muscle function to maintaining bone density. Magnesium can naturally be found in legumes, nuts, seeds and yogurt.†

Who should take Magnesium?

Magnesium has been identified as a common dietary shortfall. Over 50% of US adults do not consume enough Magnesium in their diets (1). This means that supplementation is important for many people. Health experts recommend a daily intake of 400–420 mg/day for men and 310–320 mg/day for women.

What is Magnesium good for?

Magnesium assists hundreds of metabolic reactions, helping support bone health, nerve and muscle function, and cellular energy production. As if that wasn't enough, it also helps support the production of Melatonin. It's a mineral with one heck of a job description.†

Adults take two Magnesium Citrate softgels daily with water and a meal. Nature Made supplements are quality you can trust. (1) Citrate form is a more highly absorbable form than Magnesium Oxide. Mighty in size and effectiveness.

I had been taking a different form of Magnesium supplement that actually gave me really bad leg cramps, so I was hesitant to try them again. But I read up on the differences in the supplement forms and their benefits and decided to give the Citrate form a try. I have only been taking them for about a month, but some of the changes I have already noticed is I no longer have palpitations, I even more "regular" than before, and no leg cramps. I notice that a lot of people complain about the size, especially since the daily recommended dose is two capsules, and I get it. They are really big, but I don't have a problem with that and if size isn't a problem for you and you need a good magnesium supplement. I say give these a try.

No more free delivery for Plus

Product and delivery were fine. I really enjoyed being able to order products and have them delivered as I’m elderly. The free delivery was a large part of my being a plus member for years. Now that you’re charging to deliver I won’t use it very often.

Use this daily

Magnesium Citrate is a great way to prevent serious muscle cramps, especially if you're taking diuretics (water pills, meds for high blood pressure/hypertension/HTN). While on diuretics, I took 1 cap in AM & 1 in PM. Now that I'm off the diuretics, i take 1 cap in the AM. It's surprising how well this works.
