This sauce is great. Easy to use as a base for a great spaghetti sauce. Bubbles away and turns into a nice gravy consistency.

MM tomato sauce

Sam’s tomato sauce is a pantry staple at thia house. It gives sauces an extra richness and creaminess. The flavor is tomato fresh. I also use it for creating the base of bbq sauce.

A pantry staple!

Actually, this was not a purchase.  It was a replacement for the same item that had previously arrived in which all 12 cans were dented--some minor, some very large dents.  Not a single can without dents in the entire box.

Replacement item arrived in perfect condition.

I bought this and two other tomato sauces Sam's carries, both big name brands. My wife and I did a blind taste test and the Member's Mark was noticeably better than the big brands. I don't know how Sam's did it but they did. Brighter in color, better tasting, and it costs less. This product is a winner.

The best tomato sauce

I've made a variety of pasta and pizza sauces with this and homemade sauces are easy to make and taste better than a pre-made jar sauce. It's also more economical  Here's an easy recipe:

Saute diced onion and peppers, then add and cook garlic a few minutes before adding a can of sauce and seasoning with basil, oregano, black pepper, paprika and a pinch of salt. Simmer sauce for 5-15 minutes, finish by stirring in a teaspoon each of balsamic vinegar and EV olive oil with a optional dash of hot pepper sauce.

Sauce is high quality, great tomato flavor.

This product does not last in the refrigerator as long as you would think. Generally, after 4/5 days it has slime and has to be thrown away. I generally use about 1/2 of the can when opened and if I don't cook anything that needs tomato sauce within the same week it goes in the disposal. Have considered going back to the small cans.

Goes Bad

Threw in trash cause cans exploded and had mold on them. Offered to take pictures and show them, but they said I’d have to bring them in. I’m 71 and that’s why I order things so I don’t have to drive!

Spoiled Goods

I don't know how they managed to dent every single can in the package.  Not a single can will stack. That really requires a lot of training to dent all the cans in the package. The sam csn be said for the Campbell's cream of mushroom soup.

Dented cand

Tomato sauce cans were damaged. Almost all of them were extremely dented. Love the product. Very disappointed in how they were when I received them. The box seemed ok until I opened the box

Tomato sauce

Ordered 2 cases and both had cans with missing labels. Additionally almost every can in both cases was dented. Ended up returning both cases to my local club. This is the second time I ordered online as they have not been in club for some time. Similar experience the first time as well.
