No need to wait until Thanksgiving to enjoy this delicious orange colored fruit (yes, pumpkins are fruits and not vegetables!). The smaller sized pouches pair well with salads and soups or can be a stand-alone appetizer for a party. <h3>Where Did Empanadas Originate?</h3> There is a rich history into the origins of empanadas that dates to 100 BC in the Middle East. The art of filling dough with a variety of meats and produce migrated from Persia to the countries of Spain and Portugal over the centuries. In the Spanish language, “empanar” literally mean to roll or cover. During Colonial times, ships set sail for the New World with this convenient and unique handheld delicacy that could be easily heated on rocks next to campfires. Adopted quickly by the Mayans and Aztecs, a whole new variety of empanada concepts were born. Since pumpkins are indigenous of Central America, a new flavor was eventually filled into the crimped dough.

These are great! They are like having an individual piece of pumpkin pie, except each one is fresh out of the oven. Serving size is listed as three but for me one was enough, therefore less calories and more economical. I highly recommend them. Wish they would be available year round.

Fun new product , these were much better than I anticipated, they aren’t too sweet and they’re very crispy , I made them in the air fryer and they were perfect in less than 10 minutes , would highly recommend, and will definitely buy these in the future

Fun seasonal product

I got these Pumpkin Empanadas because I like to have a little bit of something sweet after I eat lunch.  I cooked two of them in the toaster oven and they turned out beautifully.  The outside was crispy and the inside was VERY HOT and had a delicious pumpkin pie kind of flavor.  I only ate one because they are very filling, but my 14 year old son ate the other one and he really liked it, also.

Great tasting, little sweet snack

I was super excited when I found out that empanadas were available at Sam's club.  Picked up a box and couldn't wait to try them. I followed the baking instructions, but my little empanadas did spill out a bit. Great little dessert. Very tasty and crispy.

I bought the empanadas to try them out because we like Pumpkin Spice flavored items. They tasted better than Pumpkin pie. The empanadas were delicious and had enough filling in them to give you a good taste of them.  I would definitely buy them again for entertaining family or friends.  They are also a great snack when you have a taste for something good. They were simple to bake as well.

Terrific Tasting Snack or Appetizer

I got this product about a week ago and used my air fryer to heat them up. The filling was really good and tasted like pumpkin pie. The crust was tasty too and just reminded me of tiny pies.  I had a few of the empanadas that opened up so I just let them cool and we still ate them.

Really tasty!

My family just tried these and we were all surprised by the flavor.  These are defiantly more of a savory treat then sweet.  My youngest loved them so much he wanted to eat everyone's.  My oldest liked them much better with ice cream or a cream cheese glaze I made to go with them.   The outside was a nice texture and I enjoyed as I do not like pie crust.  I just wish they would not leak out during the cooking process.  Give them a try.

Like a mini pumpkin pie

These empanadas are pretty good as a desert or snack. Whether you have then with a glass of milk, vanilla icecream or add some caramel on top, they are a pretty good treat. The empanada shell reminds me of the churro dough, and the inside of a nice traditional pumpkin pie. I did not tasted the cream cheese on it, yet, the inside is creamy, perfect amount of pumpkin and cinnamon flavor. Not too sweet, not too overwhelming. I really enjoyed them. Specially if you brown the bottom a little to were is a little crispy burnt, tje dough is delicious that way, of course, they get a little dry, the dough, but the crispness of it is worth it,  that's why a glass of cold milk with it is delicious. Iz a little too pricey as my personal opinion, yet, what is not pricey now days. Will definitely buy again.

Pretty good for Desert or Snack

The Member's Mark Pumpkin Empanadas were very good!   Nice pumpkin spice flavor!  You can taste the cinnamon, ginger and pumpkin pie  spices!   They fried up crisp in the oven.   My family really loved them.  I made up a cream cheese dip recipe that was on the box.   It would be nice if that was also included with the product.   I would buy these again and will recommend them to my friends and family!

Yummy, Pumpkin pie Flavor!

These were so yummy! I loved the simplicity and how quick they were to bake up vs a whole pumpkin pie, but you get the same great taste. The seasonings were all the perfect amount for me. I was disappointed that there was caramel color added. The corn syrup and soybean oil were not my favorite either. But for a quick every once in awhile treat, these were good.

Like a handheld pumpkin pie

The dough is too tough and not flaky at all.  The filling is too sweet.  I absolutely love pumpkin empanadas and have had all sorts of variations.  I'm fortunate to have local bakeries make them fresh.  I was looking forward to these- hoping to cook them hot and fresh at home, but the crust was just way too tough, they didn't brown, and the filling oozed out of most of them while baking.
