This is the “do all” way to cook outside. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just be careful, high is hot. Leave it on low to safe gas and not burn food. Seared some filet mignon for two minutes on low on each side (used butter instead of oil) last night and it was perfection. Before you use it, make sure you read the instructions and season it with oil then google “hibachi accessories” to get the long spatulas, squirt bottles for water and oil, lid cover for steaming and the press and your all set. You don’t really need those items but my wife and I love this thing and we’re all in. I don’t even use my old grill anymore. Think about this, restaurants use flat tops for most of their cooking.

Wish I bought this years ago!

Upon delivery, griddle box looked like it had been dropped several times and was pretty beat up.  Opening the box and unpacking the parts showed everything was ok although a lot of the styrofoam was broken.  Assembly was easy except for the side tables where the holes didn't exactly align.  First use was uneventful for both a breakfast cook of sausage, eggs and bacon then hotdogs and hamburgers.  Only issue was with the drain pan.  Seemed to not properly align and some of the grease missed the holding pan.  Otherwise it works and looks great!

Works Great!

The Member's Mark 4-Burner Outdoor Gas Griddle is a true bargain.  As good as the  Blackstone at less than half the price.  I have used it numerous times in the first couple of weeks...chicken fajitas, smash burgers, steaks, breakfast hash browns, bacon and  eggs...and it performs flawlessly.  Easy to use and easy to clean. 
I even got rid of my charcoal grill...won't need it any longer.

A Great Bargain

Great griddle!  Got this for my birthday and made fajitas for her maiden voyage.  Discovered some hot shots along the back half, but other than that,  it cooked everything up great and has a large cooking surface.  I'm excited to see what else I can do!

Watch Out Blackstone

We are very happy with our Members Mark griddle. We have cooked steaks, fish, eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, impossible burgers, hash brown potatoes, fajitas, veggies you name it we have grilled it!  It keeps the splatter and mess out of the kitchen!! We like that the drain is in the front on this unit. The Blackstone griddle drain is in the back and food can fall into the drain unless you purchase a screen to block the food. I would have given this grill 5 stars if the side tables could be folded down.

Great outdoor griddle!

Most 4 burners are in the $300-$400 range, so for $199 shipped to my house for free it is a great deal with a few exceptions.  Over I would give it a 7.5-8 out if 10!  There are a few things below to watch for though.

First, it is heavy and definitely a 2 person job.  It took my adult son and I around 1.5 hours to put together start to finish (and we’re both pretty good at building things).  I recommend using a screwdriver bit on a drill at a very low setting (chuck adjustment) so you don’t strip the screws - it will save you a lot of time.

Second, when we seasoned the grill it made a mess the first time, there are definitely hot spots on the grill above the burners,  there’s a trade off between the thickness of the cast iron - too thin you get hotspots and too thick you use too much energy to heat the cast iron.  After the initial seasoning it seemed to work fine.  My first cook after seasoning included bacon, and the coating of the bacon grease really seemed to help.  You never want the top to get super dry or your “seasoning of the grill dried out”!  This grill gets really hot, so be careful of burning you food because you may if you turn it to high (much better problem to have vs not getting hot enough).

Finally, I would give the grill cover itself  a 3 out of 10!  They should have out better Velcro on it to keep it in place.  There are a few small Velcro tabs on the inside and they don’t work well.  They should have made the cover longer as well since it doesn’t protect the wheels and I’m afraid they’ll rust over time.  We had a storm a few days after setting it up and despite using the Velcro it the cover still blew off.  This caused water to settle on the top of the grill and filled up the oil drain box.  If this happens,  you need to completely dry the grill and then turn on for a few minutes so any water left evaporates - if you don’t soon after you get water on the grill it will most likely rust since it is cast iron (even if you have seasoned it)!  My last piece of advice is only use it on days that you have time to let it completely cool down when done so you can cover it so it doesn’t get wet and rust.

While this is a really good grill for the money overall, remember cast iron grills need more care than their much more expensive cousins - stainless steel grills.  With a little care you won’t be disappointed!

Pretty good value for the money any gets hot fast!

Great product for the money.  We use it a lot but have a few things that we wished were different.  1) The griddle needs to be thicker to prevent "bowing" when it gets hot so liquid stays in place.  2) I wish the side tables folded down.  We didn't have enough room so we didn't install one shelf.  3) I wish the cover went to the ground (or at least covered the bottom shelf and gas tank) so the items down there don't get dusty and the propane wasn't out in the sun.  Overall, we are happy with our purchase.

Great product for the $-- could use some tweaking!

Great griddle works perfectly having the grease in the middle of cooktop instead of the rear is a game changer. As with all griddles there are a few hot and cold spots but this is common across every gas griddle on the market.  Only real negative I have found is the cover it blows off easy with light to moderate wind exposing cooktop to rain and the elements.

Great Sam'Stone

The grill works very well. I love cooking on it but you can tell it's not a top quality product. My flat top is a bit warped even before I first used it. But it still works well. The entire grill is also a bit wobbly. I'd prefer they used either standard or metric sized bolts instead of Phillips head screws. Considering it's cost though it's still a good buy.

Great Grill, Bit not Top Knotch

This is just what we needed ! We love it works great. We cooked a ton of pancakes eggs and bacon was amazing second time we cooked French toast eggs and bacon each time was for about 15 people . We did notice an area where it cooks faster than another area “hot spot” I’m fine with it now I know where it is .. We have used it twice so far And after the second time we used it we shut it off turned it back on and the burners weren’t turning on I’m not sure what the issue was . We thought it was the regulator piece it wasn’t catching the others on fire it was a small small flame, but then I turned it on about 15 min later and they all went on . We just filled up our propane so we knew we weren’t out of it . Not sure what happened . I really like the fact it came with a cover we didn’t have to purchase one .We can’t wait to continue our weekly meals for everyone.

Amazing griddle just what we needed.

Delivery SO BAD!! Can not believe how this Christmas gift arrived to my boyfriend's house.  Then Sam's Customer Service told me I had to wait to ship this one back before they would ship me another one.  I shut that down immediately.  Plus Member too!!
