The Impressions Capri 50-Gallon Rain Saver reinvents how you harvest rainwater. This 50-gallon rain barrel is sturdy and one of the most eye-catching rain barrels on the market. The exterior features a unique striated clay texture. With a deep welled top, you can plant an array of floral arrangements or even a small herb or vegetable garden. The top also includes the Good Ideas original, integrated overflow channel. This channel automatically diverts all overflow water to the front of the barrel and keeps your foundation from flooding. The large downspout opening allows use with both 2 x 3 or 3 x 4 downspouts. Covering the downspout opening is a soft, fine mesh, plastic screen to keep out heavy debris and insects. Two offset spigot locations are also included. Use the five-gallon bucket or hose simultaneously without issue–or use the additional spigot as an overflow into a second barrel.&nbsp;

We now have three of these collecting rain water — which we have not had because of a drought.  But experience with our first one shows they work well.  Set up is easy, connecting them is simple, and they are pleasing to the eye.

Does Its Job Well

We bought 4 and since we have a metal roof they fill up quickly in heavy rainstorms. I love the fresh rainwater to have for my flowers on our hot Texas summer days! And they prevent the gutter water from washing our dirt and grass away in our yard too.

Cute 50 Gallon Rain Barrel

Looks great on patio; serves it's purpose; plants love rain water verses chemical treated tap water.

Healthy plants are beautiful.

This was very easy to set up.  The color matches and blends in with siding. Love it!

Rain barrel

Looks good and works well. The only issue I have is the overflow hole at the top weeps when using the taps at the bottom. This only lasts for a few minutes, but it is wasting the water that was in the barrel.

Cheap water values, let out a trickle amount of water, it filled up and bloated out at the bottom and pushed away from house. Had to reinforce it.

Looks at every thing

The barrels  look nice. The only problem is when they fill up the back bows and they pull away from the side of house. Now the down spouts have to be readjusted. Hoping that the weak spot in the back doesn’t crack. Should’ve just got the normal round barrels. Very disappointed.

Bowing rain barrels

The quality of this rain saver misses the mark of the last one purchased with Sam’s by the same manufacturer. Looks like the spout (the higher one) was super glued in place with no thought to appearance. It’s not as attractive as the first but is functions properly, so thankful for this.

Missed opportunity

Top screen screwed in offset. My guess is the first attempt was not cantered or stripped the screws, so they tried again and failed again. It was also filled with debris from manufacturing. I’m concerned about cheap plastic to metal hose bib connection, but already assumed that before purchased. Other than that, it looks good.
