The Best Sazon Goya

Bought this because a recipe I had called for it. Ordered the large box by mistake, but glad I did. This is a very tasteful addition to lots of dishes.  It is spicy but not too strong. I've used it with ground beef, chicken and in soups %26 chili so far. The box the 36 packets come in is easy to reseal with a small pc of tape, so the little packets remain in the thin box which slides right inside my kitchen cabinet. Now I'm wondering what else is out there in the spice world ...

I love this seasoning it's my go to first when I use seasoning you can use it by itself or with any other spices you choose. this deal is absolutely a good buy. one word of caution it will stain your skin but it's still worth it for the flavor you get

Sason Goya with Cilantro %26 Achiote

Tastes excellent. Cant go wrong with Goya sazon. A must have for Arroz con gandules and many other dishes. Its my (and many other’s) go to for seasoning and bringing color to a variety of dishes.

A staple.

This is the little cheater packet that adds that Caribbean Latin flavor to stews and soups and yellow rice. It does contain msg—which isn’t a bad thing at all, but some people think it is, so if you are one of those people, this may not be for you.

20-Minute Sazón Chicken Skillet
This easy, one-pan meal uses Sazón Goya to deliver maximum flavor with minimum effort.
Ingredients
• 4 Boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 1.5 lbs)
• 1 packet Sazón Goya with coriander and annatto
• 1 cup long-grain white rice, rinsed
• 1/2 large onion, diced
• 2 cups chicken broth (or water)
• 1 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Season: Pat the chicken thighs dry and rub them aggressively with the entire packet of Sazón Goya. Make sure they are fully coated.
2. Sear: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until beautifully golden brown (the Sazón will give it that color!). Remove the chicken and set aside.
3. Sauté: Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes until soft.
4. Simmer: Stir in the rinsed rice, scraping up any browned bits from the chicken. Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a boil.
5. Finish: Reduce the heat to low. Place the seasoned chicken thighs back on top of the rice, cover the skillet tightly, and let it simmer for 15 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Rest for 5 minutes before serving!
