A decent freezer for the price.  It is small enough that it fit into the back of my Outback (on its side).  I waited the 24 hours before plugging it in.  It cooled quickly and I haven't heard it make a noise.

So far, so good

This freezer was easy to set up, and holds an extraordinary amount of food.  I'm not close to the coldest setting and the food is staying at -4° (F).

Wonderful Performance/Terrific Space

Does exactly what we needed it to do. Fits in corner of the garage. Doesn't take up much space. Super quiet and stands up to Florida heat. Excellent freezer for storing breast milk in large quantities. Picked up in-club so can't speak to delivery/shipping but the unit is packed very well with lots of foam and is snug in the box. If you have to tip the unit for whatever reason, make sure you wait the full 24 hours before plugging in. 

The only "downside" is that it's not a fully open rectangle on the inside. It has a small step up where all the components are housed. Not a deal breaker. Just need to be creative when packing. Haven't had to defrost yet, but it's a manual process... Aka scrape by hand.

Workhorse of a Freezer. Great Buy!

I like the interior finish. It's metallic instead of the cheap white plastic that always cracks and breaks. The exterior black is very nice too. No fancy defrost function that you don't need and dries out the food. It's just a basic nonsense freezer.

Solid and spacious

I needed to replace a 60-year-old chest freezer that my family had while I was growing up and is just too big for my needs now. This freezer seemed perfect for my needs, as I was waiting on about 200 pounds of beef. After reading other reviews, it appeared that the only complaint people really had was damage during delivery (which is often the case when shipping with FedEx), I decided to pick this up at my local Sam’s Club. It fit perfectly in my small SUV. But since I had to lay it in its back for about 20 minutes, I waited a couple of days to plug it in. It’s perfect. Just the right size, I even had room for the food items that I still had in the old freezer and my dog food order for the month. Looks great. Works extremely well. It says “garage ready”, so we will see how it fairs on my enclosed porch this winter. I definitely recommend.

Perfect

Item came pretty quick. But came damaged. Dents on the top and 2 main sides. Plus it seemed like it had leaked some type of liquid. Purchase in store vs delivery so you can see how banged up the box is prior to purchase. After looking at more reviews would have skipped it.

Damaged

My poor review is not a reflection on how the unit it is performing, but due to the numerous dents that were caused during shipping.  Since I purchased for my garage, and waited over a week for delivery, I decided to keep it.   I would not recommend ordering appliances from Sam's for delivery, since the packaging will not protect the unit during shipping.

Just Crushed

Good price , FedEx damaged two different  freezers. Rolled to my door and left upside down. Sam’s says I cannot return. I believe Sam’s purposely makes it hard to speak to actual person in customer service.

I wanted to share my experience with Sam.com. When the chest freezer arrived from the warehouse, it appeared to have been previously returned. As a result, I am hesitant to place future orders through Sam.com, and my family shares this sentiment. I apologize for providing this feedback, but I felt it was important to share my concerns about the product's condition.

Warehouse Scheme

Worked for one week then stopped cooling. Lost over $200 in meat and probably another $200 since this item has to be returned to manufacturer at my expense
