I ferment this whole bag of garlic at one time.  It takes a while to get the skin off but worth it because it is always fresh and the cloves are a good size. I take a half spoonful daily. Also use it in cooking. Wish it was Organic.

Fresh Garlic/good size cloves

These bulbs were beautiful, full, and very fresh! I had plenty for roasting, using in recipes, and adding to my chicken waterers! The ones I couldnt use right away I tossed in the freezer & they froze well. (Just a note to anyone who wonders about freezing garlic bulbs, you need to be prepared that this will turn the cloves yellow and make them soft. The consistency changes quite a bit but the are just as flavorful and useful as fresh bulbs.)

Great Freshness for someone who uses a lot of Garlic and usually has some bad cloves in a bulk bag I was surprised and very pleased with the freshness of this bag.

The garlic seemed firm. It is very fragrant. And it's not from China. It's from Argentina I believe and I really like it.

Garlic

I love buying garlic in bulk to make roasted garlic for my freezer.  This newer brand doesn’t seem as fresh as what I bought a year ago and it’s a smaller bag.

Convenience of  bulk garlic but at a price.

There are better garlic companies to buy from. Internal cloves are small and numerous compared to outer cloves.It makes it a pain to peel them once you get passed the outside.

Mild flavor, pain to peel

More than half the time i get these they are old, brown and yellow inside. I will definitely stop buying these

Old and discolored

terrible garlic... gone are the days of Gilroy, CA garlic, this garlic has teeny tine cloves that aren't even worth peeling.  I throw away more of these little cloves than the ones I can use.  Also, there is very little garlic flavor in these, you can use 2x as much garlic and not get the flavor you want.

“Unfortunately, all the fruit was spoiled due to frost and had a rotten, sour taste. This is not the first time we have experienced oranges, tangerines, onions, garlic and other purchased vegetables being delivered in such poor condition — rotten and even moldy. We would kindly ask that more care be taken in storage and delivery so this does not happen again.”

Sadly, the bag I bought was so old I had to throw most of it out! It happens; and since I don’t know when the best time of year to buy garlic is I just take a chance I’m going to get a fresh one. They do advertise it as fresh and that is not true!
