My baby has always wanted one of these and I decided this year when buying a new iPad I was going to buy the iPad pencil to go with it. Let's just say she loved her gift. I can't get her to put down the iPad or the pencil she loves to draw so that's one of the main reasons why I decided to go ahead and grab this pencil. It was brand new package was not damaged. The Apple Pencil is one of the best stylus options available for tablets, especially if you’re using an iPad. Designed to work seamlessly within Apple’s ecosystem, it turns the iPad from a simple media device into a powerful tool for creativity, productivity, and note-taking.

This Apple Pencil product is the ********* updated version that comes bundled with the USB-C adapter for better compatibility with updated iPad models (in my case, it works with my iPad 11th gen A16 model.) The description on the product page doesn't seem to make this clear. The 1st gen pencil still holds up well and unlike the only other compatible option for the A16 iPad (Apple Pencil USB-C) offers pressure sensitivity, making it ideal for detailed art.

I absolutely love my Apple Pencil (1st Gen)! I use it with my 10th-generation IPad, and it works perfectly — the pressure sensitivity makes writing and drawing feel smooth and natural. It’s super responsive and great for notes, Procreate, and design apps. Definitely worth it if you enjoy being creative on your iPad!

Hey, you have an old iPad, and thank goodness it still works, but your most recent Apple Gen 1 pencil (probably your second or third) has once again burned through its SHORT battery life and it's unrepairable, so "clunk"...into the hazardous waste bin!  You need a new one because you're an artist and it really helps, so you've gotta  buy yet another replacement.  You already knew that, right?  The first two (or three) died the same way - like airPods, the Apple pencil is a consumable, not an investment.  You know the drill - shut up, pay up, and move on.

Setup and use almost totally transparent, once paired, just pick it up and use it. Seemed to work ok. Not sure the "pressure sensitivity" worked right on iPad A16. Should have made the decision to return it immediately, I ended up trading-in the iPad and switching to a MacBook for away-from-desk computing.

When I opened the item a few months after buying, when I went to connect to IPAD it did not connect. It stated battery was low, so I charged it following the instructions. It did not charge when plugging in to the iPad. It did not charge when using the connector. It still does not connect to ipad and battery remains dead

Battery does not charge

This Apple Pencil is counterfeit. The charging port on the end is too large and will not fit into the dock on the iPad or the original adapter I had for my first Apple Pencil. The adaptor it came with is large enough to fit the fake Apple Pencil, but when I used a cable to try and pair it with my iPad anyway it did not register any device connected making it impossible to pair.
