I recently purchased the 30 count cupcakes for a first birthday celebration. I highly recommend these cupcakes. There are 15 chocolate, and 15 vanilla. They are moist, and delicious, and the icing was perfectly light and delicious.  They were also very pretty with the pastel sprinkles. A great value, as well, at approximately 0.55 each.

Delicious cupcakes for any celebration!

I've gotten these cupcakes several times at several different Sam's Club locations and the quality has always been perfect. They are so moist! Taste just like they were baked just hours prior to me picking up. And both the buttercream and whipped icing are delish. I will never go to anyone else other than Sam's club for cupcakes!

Best Cupcakes! Better than Bakery!

We only got half the cupcakes we ordered (4 of 8) with no curtesy call to let us know, just upon pick up they only brought us 4 with no explanation whatsoever. We ordered these online and paid for them. If they had simple called or emailed to let us know in advance we would have had time to make other plans to buy something else to have enough for our graduation party. Even when I called to ask about what happened they gave no satisfactory reply such as what their policy is or something like maybe we should change that and at least alert customers whose orders cannot be filled, just nothing helpful at all. I ask about reimbursement for the 4 we did not receive but they also did not have info about that. A half an hour after we picked up our order they finally reimbursed us for the 4 we did not receive but again with no explaination or anything. They did not seem the least bit concerned with providing good customer service. This is also not the first time this exact same thing has happened.

Unprofessional Customer service as a habit

These cupcakes were delicious! I ordered these online for curbside pickup.  
I ordered them according to the picture online. They looked fun and festive for the kids. I only gave 4 stars because I received cupcakes with 3-4 sprinkles per cupcake! Is there a sprinkle shortage? Stingy sprinkle sprinkler on duty that day?

Taste great but they don’t look like the picture

The cupcakes did not seem that fresh and did not care for the icing.  Icing was supposed to be buttercream but more like the whipped.  I was assured they were buttercream by the ladies in the bakery (whom were not very pleasant) but will not be buying any more.

Not very good

We love these cupcakes and purchase them often for celebrations. 
This particular time, we purchased them in Appleton, WI for my mother-in-law’s 75th birthday get together. 
Sam’s has changed the packaging for their large bakery items and it is not as strong. The lid and tray do not stay together at all.
This particular batch of cupcakes ended up in the parking lot at the restaurant we were having the get together at and no one got to eat any of them.
I had purchased a cookie tray in my town the week earlier and noticed the same thing. Luckily, they had one cookie tray left with the old packaging.
Please bring back the old packaging. The black bottom is much stronger and the lids are more secure.

New packaging is flimsy!!!

Great taste lousy packaging. The cupcakes tasted great and were a hit however the packaging was terrible. I ordered two packs of 30 each and the guy who brought them to the car for curbside had already smushed some of them (no fault of his own) due to the flimsy packaging they were packed in. The containter was so thin and kept popping open. I secured both packages as best I could and by the time I got home one of them had popped open gotten all over the car so I ended up with only one container for our party. If you order ask for them to be put in a more secure container or box.

Grad party cupcakes

Packaging is unacceptable. I was holding the flimsy plastic box, with 30 cupcakes, and the box collapsed. I lost all but 6 cupcakes. I was warned that the boxes were flimsy and to hold it underneath with 2 hands. Which I did. Never again! I'll go to Raleys or Savemart for celebration cupcakes.

Unacceptable Packaging

I ordered eight batches of cupcakes for an event and paid for them to be delivered an hour before the start of the event. The cupcakes were great, but they were delivered an hour and 30 minutes after the scheduled time. The delivery driver was unapologetic and Sam’s Club did not follow up with me or appear concerned about not meeting the terms of the delivery service.

Unacceptable Service

We usually buy half sheet cakes at Sam’s, but the birthday boy wanted cupcakes, so we appeased him for his day. Sadly, that was a HUGE mistake we will never make again. The cake and icing was soft, moist, and delicious, just as their cakes are. BUT… there were what can best be described as ‘jaw-breaker’ hard little 1/8th to 1/4 inch white ball sprinkles hidden in the white icing that could break a tooth!  After not just one of us, but ALL, complained about them, I went searching the remaining cupcakes for the culprits and removed them.  I took a regular claw hammer and tapped them moderately without as much as a crack to them.  Finally, I took an 8 pound sledgehammer to them and was able to tap on them 5 times lightly without cracking; it took a good ‘swing’ of the sledge to crack them. Something so hard should NOT be hidden inside something that is meant to be soft and fluffy!!  I seriously thought I cracked a molar. I am not one to make outlandish reviews at all - this is a serious safety issue!   

I went to the Club where I purchased them, knowing that they put the icing on at the store.  It appeared the bakery crew were having a meeting, of-sorts…they were huddled together at the entrance to the baking department. One man with 5 or 6 women, the man had a medium build, facial hair and was wearing blue; it appeared he was leading their discussion. I apologized for interrupting their meeting, citing a potential health risk in one of their products.  I described the issue to the group in FULL detail, including the hammer tests.   One of the women didn’t understand what topping I was describing and responded ‘oh the gumballs’, to which the man replied ‘no, he means the small white balls in the large container’.  He thanked me for bringing it to his attention, yet did not stop immediately and walk the 12 or so feet from where he was standing to check the container to make sure there wasn’t an issue with the whole container or at least to show some level of concern to protect others from serious injury…let alone our feelings. I was calm yet spoke emphasizing worried concern for the safety of other members who might be harmed by this esthetic topping. To be completely honest, they are barely noticeable by eye…they blend completely in white icing, and have no flavor at all…not sweet, just nothing.  

I will honestly say this is not the first time I have had anything but praise for our Sam’s Club, it was the second in MANY wonderful years of shopping there; the first was about overcooked rotisserie chickens…not a safety concern at-all.  However, I found this was poorly handled by the staff and possibly team leader, especially for the potential health and safety risk the issue poses to other unsuspecting club members. When you bite into a cupcake, there shouldn’t be anything hard like a rock in it - PERIOD!  I was embarrassed for our Sam’s Club that day.
