Bought it as a gift for my husband who decided to install it in our car so our toddler could have Internet access to watch their shows on road trips. works beautifully and a double win for us, we get our phones back, our toddler stays occupied and it's a quiet drive

The only thing that worked four our camp.  Our cam is located in the valley between two mountains and this worked great.  My 15 installed it, set up the app, and you can cancel the monthly fee when not in use.

Starlink is awesome, though to get the deal at Walmart,? like you can at Home Depot, you have to order online and then go pick up at the store, otherwise you pay a couple hundred dollars more if  you just  go to the store directly and try to purchase it!

Super compact, easy to setup and great speeds for such a small device. Plenty of accessories available to further improve applications. Also purchased a car Cigarette lighter power adapter and a solar charging backup battery pack for use pretty much everywhere. Speeds are great for streaming 4K content and the low latency makes it great for making video calls if needed. Check to see if the unlimited service is available in the area you plan to use it. It wasn’t in my area, just the 50GB/month, which is plenty for occasional or emergency use. It’s my 3rd Starlink I’ve owned and this one is the most capable for its size. You may want to purchase a protective carry case which makes it easier to move around as you do.

High Speed Internet Anywhere

This is an upgrade to my Starlink Gen 2 kit, this Mini is much better. It's smaller and more portable and with the router built in to it the reception is better at greater distances. The number of aftermarket accessories available for it is amazing, I bought a tripod with batteries in it so there are is no power cord needed. The $229 price is almost 1/3 of the Gen 2 receiver.

An incredible receiver at a fantastic price.

This was a really great buy for our travel trailer. It was a little cumbersome to try to set up the account, although it’s really great to be able to suspend the service monthly when not using.

Great Buy

You need to install the app on your smart phone and follow the instructions to power up and connect to the starlink mini with WIFI. in that process capture the id number that will show up on your app. You need to browse to starlink.com  with your PC and set up your account and put in the ID number that you obtained from the app. To get the $50 /month plan you need to select roaming as the subscription service. Then if you ever want to pause the service or put in standby for a period of time do it in the browser connection. Pause/standby causes the mini to continue to work at up to 500 kilobits per second. In my case, pause is going into effect 30 days after I  activated the mini. You will want to order the weather sealed network cable, if you plan to connect to your own router since a 3rd party non sealed cable voids warranty. Aiming the device in the correct direction with view of the open sky is important for best performance.

I gave this rating because price of equipment was awesome. As far as overall satisfaction and product quality. Let's see how the honeymoon goes.  Then if it deserves a 5 star, I'll give it one.

I really wanted them like this device and appreciate the nicely designed setup, guide and packaging, and of course, the product itself is well designed. But the big flaw is that you should be able to check with their app if your location is good for the device before you buy it rather than waiting until you unboxed it to find out that there's not enough open states around it and have to return it.

Nicely made, but didn't work where I needed it

I brought the starlink unit because I needed a strong link to the web for my job and I signed up for the $50.00 a month plan and after 32 days of service I got an email stating that starlink was unable to charge my CC for payment, now I knew I had at least $400 in the bank so I logged into my account and saw $1,433.00 was due for that month. The same thing happened to my cousin and they tried to charge her $1,048 for the first month, beware of this company because they are targeting anyone who buys this equipment. And the sad part is no one in their right mind would pay that amount for a month of residential service. And that's why they don't tell you about how they operate until after that first 30 day pay period. Stay away from Starlink
