received this item in a nicely packed box that was in good shape. When I opened it I found a badly crushed box containing the dvd player and wondered if it would be damaged. Almost took it back to the store that way but needed to put it to use. it is working at this time so must be a tough little thing. Very surprised Walmart would ship such a damaged box. Remember the outside box was undamaged. Very surprised they would pack such a damaged box at the warehouse may think twice about online and Walmart.

Way worth it :)

So far I have been very pleased with this purchase! I bought it three months ago when my other DVD player kicked the bucket. I was right in the middle of binge watching a boxed set of DVDs so I thought I'd give this one a try. So far three months and still going strong using it very often sometimes even for hours at a time. It is also very small which I like, it's about 11 inches across and about 1.4 inch from top to bottom. It is also as light as a feather. I was very surprised how superior the picture quality is to the other DVD player I had before this. I was unfamiliar with what quote "upscaling" means, but in a nutshell the upscaling makes it possible to get the best picture quality that your TV is capable of producing. I noticed it made a wonderful difference using the 4K TV. Super user-friendly interface and extremely easy to use and set up is a breeze . So far a great purchase and I would highly recommend!

Only for non Blu-ray

I'm not particularly tech savvy, but did my due diligence as best I could. I searched product details and reviews to see if it plays Blu-ray. Half our movies are Blu-ray. I saw no warning that it didn't, so purchased. It won't play any Blu-ray. Smooth play and easy operation of the other movies. No volume control unlike our old LG DVD player.
