    About this item

    Product details

THE NICER DE-ICER: Thanks to its anti-corrosion formula that contains CMA (calcium magnesium acetate), Snow Joe® Melt Premium Enviro Blend melts to -10°F and is safer for vegetation, concrete, and metals than pure rock or chloride-based salt. The formula works on surfaces longer, requiring less product, and won’t dry out or irritate skin, so no protective clothing is necessary. Plus, it doesn’t track onto your home’s floors or carpets or leave slimy residue behind, so you can safely tread your footwear on any treated surface without worrying about damaging your shoes or home. Finally, the green-coated crystals not only serve as a visual indicator to observe the melting process in action, but also help you visually measure and dispense just the right amount to ensure the most cost-effective use of the product.

    Best ice melt available!

I bought this for the 2018 New England winter on my 300' driveway. Used it last season and it worked like a charm. I use it as a pre treat just before an ice or snow storm. It prevents an ice over and continues to melt fallen snow despite the temperature. Its green so i can see it as i spread it by hand. I used to use my Scotts spreader but it spreads so easily by hand. It bounces when it lands as I throw it in front of where I walk, rather than landing all in the same place. I can treat the 300' driveway in less than 10minutes so last minute weather changes are easily handled. Especially useful if the snowfall is less than what i would use the snowblower to clear. It also does not clump in the bag so using the leftover next season is a given.

    Worked Great as a Pre-Treatment!

Some reviewers complained that this product did not work. That was NOT my experience! I applied Snow Joe pellets as a pre-treatment ahead of the ice storm in my area, and it worked great on my driveway and front porch! In fact, I ordered a second bag to keep on hand for the next icing event. I would definitely recommend this product to others!

    Works Well

I used it on the driveway and pathway before I started shoveling which helped to loosen the ice then after I shoveled I used it again to keep the path from frozen spots. Very easy to use will be buying more.
