Product details

When the time comes to change the oil in your car, be sure to reach for Mobil 1™ 10W-30 Motor Oil (1-quart bottles, 6 pack). This synthetic oil is low-friction in order to allow you to get more miles per gallon and go farther between changes. Is Synthetic Motor Oil Better Than Conventional Oil?

Synthetic motor oil has a much more uniform molecular structure than conventional oil. This allows it to make less friction between the moving parts of your engine, which in turn extends the life of your vehicle. Using Mobil 1 10W-30 Motor Oil as compared to conventional oil also means that you will experience a greater degree of performance as well as less residual buildup that can farther degrade your engine and filters. So while conventional oil may have a less upfront cost, the added benefits of this 10W-30 synthetic oil ensure that in the long run the amount of money you spend to keep your vehicle running will be lower.

How Often Should You Change the Oil in Your Car?

Historically, most people have been advised to change the oil in their vehicle every 3,500 miles. Now, however, with the advancement of high-performance motor oils, especially synthetic oils such as Mobil 1 10W-30 Motor Oil, car owners can expect to change their oil every 7,500 miles or even up to 10,000 miles. Be sure to check your manufacturer's recommendation or talk to your mechanic for the specifics of your vehicle.

Best in the long run

I know something about motor oil. I worked as a driver sales rep for Pennzoil for 6 years. Pennsylvania Crude was once the absolute best; Quaker State, Pennzoil, Wolfs Head, and Kendall were designated 100% pure Pennsylvania crude, no longer. They are all now blends of world oil. Mobil was the first usable 100 Synthetic oil. Once know as the 50,000. mile oil, just change the filter and add a quart. With auto engines of today, I change all of our vehicles in May (summer) 5w30 or 10w30 and November (winter) 0w30 and 5w30 depending on vehicles, to be prepared for cold starts. Don't mess with synthetic blends OR environmental friendly (used re-refined oil). Its your car you depend on it.

Minimal investment with maximum protection

been using mobile one for about 20 years.bought a '96 town car about 10 years ago didn't see much highway use prior to me owing it.after changing the oil a few times with mobil 1 the engine a 4.6 liter v8 rated at 210 horses ,managed to cough up all 210. the engine ran smoother quieter with with impressive gas mileage Abilene Texas to Amarillo Texas with an average range of 535 miles to a tank. I now own a 2025 Hyundai sonata hybrid.Understanding the value of a dollar, and knowing that the 0 16 recommended by the manufacturer is to meet EPA standards with minimal engine protection I immediately changed to mobile one 10w30 the engine performs flawlessly with virtually no effect on fuel mileage. Mobile 1 is an excellent product and that's all I use

I use it once a year in all my cars

I started using Mobile 1 in the summer of 1987 in a 1986 Pontiac Fiero 2.8 liter V-6 after driving it 10,000 miles to seat the parts. I changed it typically every summer and did drive it slightly under 15K miles in each year. In 2000 I had a head gasket blow due to overheating because of a loss of coolant and had to remove the cylinder head. The cylinder wear had yielded a ridge on the cylinder tops that was barely detectable using a fingernail ! While the head was off and it would not be a major effort to remove the other head and change out the rings and bearings if needed, I pulled the pan to check the bearings. The main and rod bearings had no significant wear and most of the bearing surface was still gray and not even shined. This was after 150,000 miles!. I have used this oil in every car since I saw that. Almost no detectable wear after 150,000 miles and only summer oil changes! After each oil change the removed oil still felt greasy but normal oil seemed to feel watery if that makes any sense to you. Also for some reason I rarely had to add more than a quart during that entire year. In addition the cost is lower than for standard motor oil as it requires 1/4 to 1/5 as many oil changes!
